I have been spending a lot of time at Hanson in the past two weeks (my poor bank account!). I have been into audio equipment for many years and I am no dummy when it comes to high end audio. The product and technology knowledge is beyond outstanding. I find my ego hurting more every time there and they never, never discuss products and technology in a demeaning way.
I just purchased a McIntosh preamp that McIntosh, Hanson and I was defective. Rare with the quality of McIntosh but it does happen. I will not bore you with the process but, Hanson fixed it while I waited, with software. Outstanding service in my opinion and by McIntosh standards (I did share the story with the factory as I was talking with them for a morning trying to fix the issue).
One word of caution. They have some of the best components made. I made the "mistake" of asking to hear the top system.
I have a very good system but it made my stereo sound like a AM radio in a 60's cheap car. (OK, a little exaggeration but, you get the point).
I highly recommend them for high end audio, video, home theater systems, etc.

My experience with Hanson AV was positive in the beginning. I felt confident in the abilities because they have a nice store front, top brands and they are the highest rated installer on Control4's list.
I can tell you that my project has been a nightmare. The products installed under the recommendations of the sales rep do not preform as promised. They do not function the way I expected. I must rely on Hanson AV to troubleshoot any technical issues during business hours.
If you want to invite the group over to watch the Sunday game check that your system is functioning the morning of or make alternate plans. From my experience there may not be anyone to help you for two days.

I went here to demo a few projectors, projector screens, and speakers that I was told over the phone that were already set up to see. When I got there, only two of the six theater rooms even had projectors in them, and neither were what I was told could be demoed. The guy said that he had worked there for 18 years and he was the best there was, yet it took him close to two hours to hook up one projector and to get 2 out of 3 blu ray players working. It took him 30 minutes to figure out how to get the 3d to work correctly. To make a long story short, it took close to 3 hours to demo three items that should have only taken about 30 minutes.
