As I approach the first holiday season without my mom, I am grateful for having had her in my life and the wonderful memories that we made. Although rich in love, Mom left me with few material possessions to remember her by: a petite 1960s diamond watch and a small diamond ring.

Mom suffered from Alzheimer’s and when she was gone, I wanted a custom piece of jewelry designed incorporating her jewels to give me a touchstone. Something that would always be with me. My engagement ring was a Lisa Robin original and I knew that I could entrust Lisa to the task.

To me, this was more than jewelry and Lisa understood. Lisa viewed it as a celebration of Mom’s life and translated my ideas, emotions and style into a statement piece. Somehow with an assortment of odd-sized jewels, Lisa created a custom design that speaks to my heart.

We had a fantastic experience shopping for an engagement ring with Lisa. My Fiance and I looked at big jewelry stores and just did not find anything particularly interesting. We shopped online but could not agree on a ring. It was important to me that he liked the ring as well, and I wanted something that felt personal and unique. We each went to our one-on-one appointment with Lisa with very different ideas in our heads. Lisa respected our price point, showed us some of what we each asked for, and then took the time to hear all of our feedback and take us in a direction that met both of our desires.
