If I could rate them a zero I would ! Called this location about a follow up X-ray for my father who is elderly and had been to another location on demand care that was wonderful! From the minute Marsahy answered the call she had an attitude of negativity! She told me they only do xrays if the primary care DR ordered it . I told her they did an X-ray before at the other location based on an order from his cardiologist and had no problems with it . Then she says let me check with the X-ray tech abruptly puts me on hold with a huge audible sigh like I was troubling her to check on the order . Then comes back to the phone and says it was ordered in hospital ( Kettering network )!shared computer system with this Kettering on demand care .Tells me the Dr has to change the order to clinic X-ray . I worked ICU nurse and am not aware that this is a thing for an outpatient X-ray?!! So then I call Dr Office they said it’s should not make a difference where the order was entered ! All the reason I was trying to keep my father safer at a non crowded location other than the COVD filled hospital for a simple X-ray as I explained to Marshay in the first place ! I also called the hospital radiology dept who said it shouldn’t matter and they were not aware that any Kettering facility would not be able to see the order and do the X-ray. Later spoke to another location said they would gladly do the X-ray ! We will go to the friendly location where they were pleasant kind and caring ( no sighing on the phone or negative vibes at all ) The radiology and Dr Desai office very pleasant also ! Only one bad experience was the on demand care at Alex Bell ! I will not go there if that’s how they treat someone on the phone , in person we will NOT be doing . Also Jenny the X-ray tech there also states she could not do the X-ray unless the order was changed to clinic . The radiology dept said a simple procedure she could have offered to do it for me in the computer there . Main hospital radiology fixed it . No help from Alex Bell stat care . It is called customer care ! This is something I learned as an ICU nurse . Offer to assist to help someone !!!!! Simple concept or take lessons from Chick Fila staff please , thank you etc . Do not act like the customer is putting you out by asking you to...
Read moreI previously wrote a review about Vanessa NP about a year or two ago because I was having chest pain and she told me to just take ibuprofen. I followed up with my doctor and he said my rib was out of place(without taking X-ray) so he prescribed me steroids and muscle relaxer. I went to Kettering on demand again this Monday and immediately recognized her and to be frank, I wanted to go somewhere else from the last experience. I went there with sore throat, difficulty swallowing, voice hoarseness for 4 days and she looked at my throat for a second, literally one second then listened to me with her stethoscope and said I had post nasal drip and told me to take Zyrtec and Flonase, which is not wrong but I was concerned that I might have strep or bronchitis and she said “We can run strep pcr for your peace in mind but I don’t think it is.” Then she said if it turns out to be strep, she’ll prescribe me some antibiotics. That’s not how you diagnose a patient. You rule out everything else and then you tell the patient what they need to do. My strep pcr was negative like she thought but that’s not the point. I’m in the process of becoming a doctor in the future and work at a hospital. To have someone so flat and her demeanor was dismissive, lack of empathy and only sees patients for a couple of minutes is unprofessional. I’m sure it wasn’t her intentions but she should really be careful of her behavior. I’m concerned that her not taking enough time to exam the patient, she would potentially misdiagnosing patients.
I went to premier urgent near by and the doctor was so kind; took the time to look at my throat, ears, nose and felt my lymph nodes then swabbed my throat for strep rapid pcr. I waited while it was getting processed, He said you never know what it could and he said I had chronic pharyngitis. I knew the strep pcr was going to be negative but I wanted to see how someone else would treat a patient at a different urgent care. Needless to say, I’ll be going to premier urgent care from now on. My two visits to Kettering on demand has been negative both times and very disappointed as a health care worker myself and a future doctor, to know there are health care professionals like her treating patients like they would treat strangers they see out on...
Read moreReception/Billing was terrific, sweet, caring, compassionate and helpful. The RN was short, seemed uninterested, uncomfortable, rushed and like she needed to get to something else. She couldn’t even bother to get my current weight and kept an old one in the system, as the paperwork on mychart shows. The PA was in and out almost as fast as the RN was and almost as uninterested and uncomfortable as the RN. My brain was foggy, I felt like I had a severe bad cold (it was Covid). I didn’t get a chance to finish talking about everything because my brain was foggy. I waited for lab results in the parking lot in my car when my pharmacy text me that 3 medications were done. The PA never spoke to me about prescription medicine, but called some in?! I called the facility back when I got the lab results and she called in Paxlovid, which is all I picked up and needed. She knew I was taking my vitamins daily and Sudafed around the clock. I felt like I was shoved out the door so soon because I was sick. Even my husband thought it was excessively fast. I work at Sycamore hospital helping medical personnel take care of patients, sick patients to the best of our abilities with care and compassion and I felt the only care/compassion I got was when I checked in and paid. That’s AWFUL! I applaud and appreciate the care and compassion I received from the lady who checked me in and I hope she gets a star for it. Please give her one. As for the rest, I will make sure when I become a nurse I will not only continue to do my best but I will have the utmost care and compassion and not give a cold shoulder...
