After going here for nearly a year I was advised I could no longer get my hair done at this establishment. I never missed an appointment and have always been friendly and courteous to the staff.
I made an appointment when salons were opening again and it was 6 weeks in advance for a haircut and color. I also was taking someone else with me for the same thing. We were told at 930 on the day of our appointment that they did not book enough time and they'd have to reschedule. To be honest this was quite upsetting. I accepted this and was rescheduled for the following Saturday. (Tomorrow) After giving it some thought I called back and was advised there was nothing they could do. I was not mean or rude to the receptionist. I simply asked why we have to pay for someone else's incompetence. On multiple occasions we were asked to change our appointment time or come in early to accommodate the stylists. Ok fine, spoke to a stylist thinking the issue is resolved and I call today to verify the time and I'm told we have no appointments and are not to come to the salon again per the owner. I'm totally perplexed. All because the receptionist got upset when I asked why we have to pay for their mistake. Nevermind how upsetting it is to have to cater to them just to get my hair done. I would not recommend going here. You never know how you might be treated. I am still in shock. No m phone call, no nothing. That's really no way to...
Read moreBeth sure knows her stuff!! I went to that OTHER joke of a salon at the OTHER end of Crosspoint Plaza for a cut and color. Horrible experience and the cut and color looked like my 8 year old niece did it. I called Mainstreet Salon for a consultation to see if anyone could could do something...anything to salvage my hair. I showed Beth my desired cut and color ( the same pictures i showed to the OTHER person). Beth asked questions and came up with a plan to fix my hair. I went in Saturday and let Beth do her magic. Explaining everything she was going to do, i felt well informed. She seemed like she was really getting into doing this repair, she was going to make this better. AND SHE DID. My cut was awesome, close to the picture she saw. The color was light and shiny, unlike the mousy brown the OTHER salon sent me home with. Thank you Beth for restoring my faith in beauticians.

Read moreThe stylists may be good at what they do, but the lack of professionalism is evident. One stylist got her feelings hurt when I told her that I liked the style she gave me the last time, but that I had trouble maintaining it. She became edgy and weepy—-and quick to get me in and out. Within 3 days, I received a nasty phone call from her best friend (who also works there) telling me how mean and nasty I was, and how much I hurt her friend’s feelings. Are we back in junior high? These women have adult children AND grandchildren. Luckily, I received this bizarre call on an answering machine and was able to play it for the police. My advice: Go to a stylist who isn’t so thin-skinned. They should want you to be happy with your hair when you leave. After all, they are NOT cheap, and no one...
