Update 11/10/23. I needed one emergency onion for my home cooking dinner recipe. They had one and sold it to me even though it didn't appear to be a shelf item. So glad they bailed me out. Recent renovations turned the hot bar lengthwise with the building and the nicely appointed dining room is now open too! Always friendly service. Busy at peak times, dinner, lunch but worth it. Authentic Manila cooked foods and groceries. Broaden your horizons and try it. It's what is great about living where we do. We have such diverse offerings from around the world in this region. I am trying different things at Manila Central Market day by day. All good so far. Not ready for the fried whole fish yet. Looks like their dining room is open now too. For starters, they have some of the most amazing food you're ever taste North of the equator. Every bite is a little slice of Heaven. I'm pretty sure that Jesus himself would have walked the Earth for a 41st day if he knew he could have gotten lunch from Manila.

Secondly, their market has just about anything that you need to make authentic Filipino food. The staff is super helpful. If you don't know what something is but know what it looks and tastes like, that's all they need to know to pull all the ingredients off the shelves that you'll need.

I can't believe I've never heard of this place before, and I live just a mile away. The staff is incredibly friendly—such great people. The food is amazing; I had the Beef Kaldereta, white rice, and crispy pork belly, and everything was delicious. I warmed up the pork for just a minute or two, and it was perfect—especially when paired with the hot sauce and vinegar dip (not sure what it’s called, but it was fantastic).
