Childrens National Neurology Department — Local services in Washington

Dr. Kuntal Sen with Neurology Fellow at Children's National is just a shame for the Children's National Hospital, very rude, unprofessional, and careless, unfortunately, I had an appointment, with him at Children's National Hospital, during my child appointment, he was joking around with his coworkers and event he did not know how to greeting with his patient. So, after 55 minutes of waiting finally, he came out of his coworker's room and was talking about my son health issue, without considering his background and what did the previous Drs advise, because he wanted to terminate the session and turn back to his sarcastic and comedy jokes, with his friends. Thus, I brought up the advice from previous health care, and then he stated: (oh yeh we can do that, so, I will order an EEG for Abdul, and as soon as I received the result I will give you a call and will be discussing the treatment plan, but since then I never heard back from neurology department of Children's National Hospital at all and after three weeks I have started calling the CNH, and event I was frequently called to the neuro department of CNH and after two weeks, I made 45 minutes traveling to the children's National Hospital and was asking about Dr. SEN KUNTAL and my son EEG result, and treatment plan, the schedulers, said that they would send an email to KUNTAL SEN and he would call me by the next day. Also, I was waiting to receive his call, but nobody called and it made me and my son very frustrated. KUNAL SEN was also a mendacious. I hope the Children's National Hospital chairman take this...

I'm sure the doctors are great, but the front desk staff is the worst I have ever encountered. On two separate occasions we waited over an hour to see the doctor who never showed. I have sat on hold with the front desk for over an hour trying to reach someone about the status of our appointments only for the call to be disconnected or sent to voicemail. Taking off work and pulling kids out of school for hours only to have the provider never come to the appointment is beyond unprofessional and adds unnecessary stress to dealing with sick kids. Dr William Gaillard is my third and current neurologist. He is the only one who actually put me on the right medication and dosage. Walking into hospital is a bit hectic but when you have an appointment it was okay for me. I’m not sure about all the other neurologists but Gaillard is heavily booked but he answers emails in less than 24hrs. He’s very informative and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. His PCAs are amazing.
