Rented 12 scooters from DC Scooter for a multi-family DC vacation, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip for everyone, including the adults. We wanted to see as many of the monuments as we could in 4 hours, and we knew it would take an entire day on foot, so we had the scooters delivered to us outside of the natural history museum. Joie arrived promptly at 4pm with the scooters, and after some initial setup and instructions, we were off! Our group ranged in age from 10 years to mid 50’s, and none of us had any prior e-scooter experience, so we were a bit nervous, but everyone did great. We had the scooters set to eco mode, to limit the speed to around 15 mph, and the kids all received free helmets to use. Honestly, after getting used to them, many of us wanted to go faster, but with all the pedestrians on the mall, the slower speed was probably safer, and we still got to see everything from the Washington monument to the Jefferson memorial. We ended our ride at the DC wharf, and we just locked them up and left them there, per instruction (but we could have left them anywhere in the city, as they use GPS to locate and collect them). Super convenient, so much fun, and afterward, everyone kept wishing we had the scooters the whole trip! DC Scooter was fantastic from start to finish. Appreciated their responsiveness to email questions, and when the 10 year old in the group decided he wasn’t comfortable riding alone, they were quick to refund us the cost of one scooter. The equipment was also in good shape, and even when we had issues with one of the locks and the speed limiter on one scooter, they were able to solve those issues remotely. All in all, a 5 star experience. Highly recommend renting from DC Scooter!

Greg was a great guy to work with. Great communication. He met our schedule and responded to our scheduling changes with no problems. He dropped the scooters ( 7 of them!) at our AirBnB in the Capital Hill neighborhood and picked them up when we were done. Upon delivery he gave easy to understand instructions (although it took some of us a while to get the hang of the scooters). Two of our riders are 60 years old and the other five are between 11 and 19. The kids did great. The "old folks" had to work at it but had a blast! If you are planning a day of site seeing - especially the Monuments and Memorials there's just not a better (faster, more fun) way to do it. He gave us charging cords but we didn't have to use them, which was good because outlets weren't easy to find. We scootered from 11 am to 5 pm without needing to charge but the charge levels were starting to get low. He provided helmets. We brought the kids helmets from home and borrowed one from him. Good thing because one rider took a tumble and the helmet saved a likely Emergency Room visit! These scooters were EASY to ride for 4 of our family and SOMEWHAT CHALLENGING for the other 3 of us. Overall it was a great family event and a super way to cover the distance between Memorials and Monuments and see them all in one day.

Amazing. Perfect. Easy. Fun. Four words which describe our experience in DC made possible because DC’s Scooters. We traveled everywhere on these scooters, and I mean everywhere. Our family was able to experience so much more in our 5 day trip to DC than we had anticipated. We were not exhausted at the end of the day from walking and getting beat up by the sun, we simply zipped from one location to another with ease and no restrictions like other scooters had. When the batteries got low, usually that night as the batteries lasted all day even on the faster modes we just texted our contact and new fully charged scooters were waiting for us in the morning. The one time we experienced a scooter having a bad day, we texted our contact and while we were in the Library of Congress they changed it out so our adventure was not negatively impacted in the slightest. We would absolutely use them again when we return. DC Scooters were a game changer for us and we appreciate their hard work making our vacation so amazing.

I checked out dc scooter by searching Scooter rental in DC because I was not able to locate 4 Dockless scooters called jump and skip for the rest of my family. I was able to find one for myself, but we needed 4 more - 5 all together. I also had two kids under 12 who weren’t allowed to ride them (according to the app and rules) although I saw tons of kids under that age riding alone or with someone else on the same scooter. Initially we thought to try Do you locate three and put two people on two of them until we found the rest. Seem like the app in the GPS wasn’t accurate and some scooters are also be completely on charged or somewhat damaged and keep in mind I’m in Washington DC where I’ve never been before so this was very confusing and frustrating. So I call dc scooter and they took care of us. They’re SMART Scooters that look like mini segways, were unbelievably easy! It was practical for my wife and I with the heat and she has a bad hip. When I called dc scooter and spoke to Greg, He assured me that this would be the perfect solution for her who is 55 and for me the same age. My kids were under the permitted age for the jump and skip scooters, but Greg made it happen with the SMART Scooter (might want to buy one when I get home to NJ). They were so cool and stylish. They even had a Bluetooth speaker! I strongly recommend to anyone in dc looking to have a...

Greg is great to work with! The more hours or days you rent the better the price per hour. Rent more pay less. He will work with you the longer your rental.. We were in town for 9-days on vacation, time is everything. You could spend your time trying to plan and land at each location by Metro but very time consuming and never exactly where you need to be, plus walking for hours on ending will wear you down. We rented the DC scooters for multiple days. Rode from AC-hotel Marriott K and 7th to National mall top to bottom side to side. Rode to spy museam and back. Rode to White house visitor center and Georgetown harbor historic district and the national cathedral and back. The best thing is you stop at the front entrance to everything, use a bike lock provided to secure your scooters and when your done hop back on your DC scooters and head to the next desired locations. We seen more things in one day on scooters than you could do in 5-days walking our depending on hoping off and on the Metro train, bus our taxi. We grab Uber to do laundry at the mat, visit George Washington Mt.Vernon estate and to and from airport and scooters everywhere else. Scooters are worth the money because your time is worth the money. Do more in less time and energy. Schedule a delivery or pick up at his location. DC Scooters are...
