Please be aware when shopping with GraceLovesLaceDC location. I truly wanted to love the experience but itâs turned out to be a nightmare.I was advised by a salesperson to order a size (s) although the gown I tried in store was an (xs). I was told that the showroom gowns tend to be a bit stretched out and if I order an (xs) it maybe too small. Although my gown is stretchy material. I then received the dress it was way TOO BIG. I reached out to customer service and sent the dress back. Customer service confirmed that they sent me the wrong size dress but never confirmed what size it was. After, admitting to their wrong doing. I was asked whether I wanted to exchange the dress to be a small or XS moving forward. I made it very clear that I wanted my dress to fit me the same way it did in the showroom (which was an XS) However, I was advised to go with a small by the salesperson. I agreed to go with the small because the first dress I received wasnât a small or XS (they never confirmed what size it was, only that it was indeed incorrect) I asked for an accommodation for the inconvenience and was told they would offer me a veil. Moving forward I received the second dress but, NO VEIL. I had to reach out to customer service and once again they admitted to making a mistake and that they forgot to add it to my order and they eventually sent it separately. When I received the second dress, it was a size small but it still didnât fit the way the showroom dress fit, and wasnât as flattering as the XS. I reached out to GraceLovesLaceDC and was advised to take it to a third party (BeFittedTailoring) for alteration to bring it in. After, taking my dress to BeFitted it was altered but still didnât give me the fit that I wanted. I reached back out to GraceLovesLaceDC to inform them. They basically said there was nothing they could do because it was altered by someone else. Although, they sent me to this company to get it altered. Iâm 2 weeks away from my wedding day and the company who altered my dress said they canât do anything with my dress until May 18th, which is 6 days before my wedding dress. I asked GraceLovesLace DC if they would be willing to offer a showroom dress of an XS since every decision I made was based on what was told to me by their salesperson. Iâve reached out to customer service several times regarding this matter and havenât received a response yet. I wouldnât advise anyone to purchase from them because after they receive your money they no longer care about the quality of their service or customer.
I will post pictures after my wedding (May24th) for better reference. I Donât want to risk the chance of a guest seeing my gown before...
Read moreGrace Loves Lace made my gown shopping experience so easy, comfortable, and joyful. First, I want to note that I accidentally made my appointment for one day later, and arrived to my appointment on Sunday by mistake. I had friends and family coming from out of town to shop with me and was panicking about my scheduling mistake. GLL was able to accommodate me on the wrong day and everything went so well!
Eliana was the best stylist consultant I could ask for. I lost a lot of weight last year and had a bit of nerves going into dress shopping wondering how gowns would fit me. I am a size 10/12 and worried that many of the form fitting gowns were not meant for someone my size. However, Eliana pulled all 5 gowns I requested to try on, and a few more than she thought would be flattering on me. All of the dresses but one fit like a glove! I was so relieved that GLL is able to accommodate brides of all shapes and sizes. Eliana made me feel so comfortable and beautiful, she was so complimentary of how the dresses fit me and made me feel really good about myself.
When I found THE dress, Eliana encouraged me to sleep on my decision to select it. This was my first time dress shopping, and I did have another dress at another shop in mind I was considering trying on. However, sleeping on my decision was the right call. I shared pictures of my dress with other friends and family and everyone agreed this dress looked perfect on my body, like it was made for me. Hearing all of the encouraging feedback, I kept looking back at photos of my dress all night. I began to feel more and more like this was the right choice.
Eliana called me on the phone the following day and offered to answer any questions or talk through any lingering doubts I had. She was so helpful and kind, and didn't push me one way or the other. She reminded me how beautiful I looked in that gown. Ultimately, I knew that everyone was right- this gown was made for ME, and I didn't need to look any further.
I can't recommend GLL and Eliana enough! She really made an experience I was a bit anxious about very fun...
Read morePass on Grace Loves Lace. For the price point, these dresses are just not it in terms of quality. I booked this place last minute to just try on a couple dresses not expecting to find the one. I felt their styles and fabric type were limited. I know they are all about their âstretchy-laceâ being a positive quality but to me that was just code for cheap. The dresses felt more like body con, shein dress quality to me. Absolutely no tailoring/design skill for the prices they were being sold at. My attendant was nice but did not seem to know anything about styling people for something as important as a wedding dress, a $2500+ wedding dress mind you. She just simply asked if I âliked itâ for each dress and offered no commentary or recommendations. I do not think that is acceptable for a bridal boutique stylist.
Lastly, and the icing on the cake, I called the store to just let them know that that I changed my mind on my top dress, and to also get the size information for that dress for my notes. The girl on the phone asked the other girl what size I had worn and they replied âsmallâ. Me being a thicker girl I knew that was incorrect so I let her know that. She asked the other girl again and then they both proceeded to to giggle and laugh in the background. She got back on the phone âHahaha yeah, sorry it was a large, hahahaâ.
Unprofessional behavior for employees at what is supposedly supposed to be a wedding boutique.
