Renaissance Development, Inc — Local services in Washington

I like the people I've worked with at Renaissance, including Monique, David, Manuel, and Johnson, but twice now the work they've done has not matched the contract I signed. The first time they said they'd put expansion seams in cement they poured but they did not. The second time they said they'd remove 3/4 to 1 1/2 inches of mortar but they did not.

UPDATE: Renaissance reached out to me and are addressing my concern and will remove 3/4 of an inch. Thank you very much, Renaissance. I look forward to being a repeat customer.

UPDATE #2: Manuel came back and re-did the job, removing at least an inch--often more--of the old mortar. And he was super nice about it. ...

Firstly, Monique does not reply to emails or return phone calls. David came out to meet my husband about a 1-foot sink hole in our front yard. It took 5 days to receive a $9k proposal from them!! The proposal was so far above and beyond the required repair job. Their proposal was to rip up and replace our entire front yard! Shame on Renaissance! They are resting on their laurels. I was very pleased with the quality of their work and their professionalism. Renaissance repointed the entire brick facade of my 1908 row home - one contract covered the front and another a few years later covered the rear.
