I’ve been taking private classes with Spanish Blackbelt for about 9 months now and I’d highly recommend them. My tutor Alejandro has been fantastic. I really enjoy our classes and my Spanish has gotten much better—I feel much more fluent (I have a bigger vocabulary, I can use subjunctive and compound verbs pretty easily in conversation now, and I’m just a more confident speaker overall). I’d forgotten a lot since high school and now I’ve gotten it all back and then some. Alejandro also has great suggestions for Spanish tv and movies to watch for practice, and we have fun conversations about Spanish and American culture. I am really, really glad I found...

I’ve completed 3 levels with Spanish Blackbelt in Northern Virginia. It’s an excellent program, the curriculum is structured enough to cover the necessary grammar but it’s the relationship between tutor and student that really makes this program work. I’ve been working with Jose for all three levels. He knows me well and challenges me to put my lessons to use by discussing my job, family, friendships, pets, hobbies, etc. I’m just starting the Navy Blue level and have every intention on completing all levels....just in time to head to Panama in August to spend a month in Spanish...

Me encanta Spanish Blackbelt! It has been a great experience and in the short 8 weeks I have improved so much. I have been learning Spanish for a few years, but have been really haven't progressed with speaking with others, until now :-). Now I speak daily with my husband, who is a native speaker from Peru. I'm super excited to see his family now so I can speak with them in their language. My instructor was Claudia and she has done a fantastic job making me feel comfortable and helping work through each lesson. I'm very excited and am looking forward to continued progress!...
