Cafe Alice, nestled near Union Station, has become my ultimate go-to for a quick, flavorful meal, especially when I'm craving sushi or poke! Situated in a bustling area, this spot offers a culinary experience that's both accessible and impressive. Their menu is a delightful fusion of breakfast and lunch options, featuring everything from savory sandwiches to irresistible poke salad and delectable sushi! During my recent visit, I couldn't resist indulging in their sushi, and it was nothing short of amazing. Each piece was fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. And let me tell you about their poke salad – it's an absolute must-try! The combination of flavors and textures creates a dish that's truly unforgettable. What truly sets Cafe Alice apart is its commitment to providing top-notch quality without compromising on convenience. Whether you're grabbing a bite on-the-go or settling in for a leisurely meal, you can always count on prompt service and dishes that exceed expectations. And let's not forget about their coffee – it's the perfect complement to any meal, adding an extra touch of delight to your dining experience. Plus, the staff are always friendly and ready to make recommendations to enhance your visit. In summary, if you find yourself near Union Station and craving sushi or poke that's both delicious and quick, Cafe Alice is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their tempting offerings.

Nice sandwich and coffee shop near the capitol. I came in the morning and they were pretty busy but were managing to move through the line quickly. They have a lot of seating, large windows that let in sunlight, and outlets scattered throughout the store which can be useful if you need to take a work call or do some computer work while eating. I got an egg and cheese on ciabatta bread and it was great. Four stars because the cappuccino I got wasn’t that good. For pricing as of this review, breakfast will cost roughly 10 bucks for a latte and breakfast sandwich, and lunch looks like it’ll cost between 10-20 dollars.

I love this place for the poke. The woman working at the sushi/poke counter is always very nice and helpful and gets you everything you need. I always ask her to put whatever sauces she likes best/recommends on my bowl, and it's always delicious. All the ingredients are so so fresh. I've ordered poke here probably five times now, and it always hits. Most recently I got a shrimp tempura bowl, and it was great. I usually get salmon or tuna. They're all good. I did order a pulled pork sandwich once, and I wouldn't recommend it. I haven't tried their other sandwiches or wraps.

Rude staff and fake rules. I came into this store around 10:40 AM on a Thursday. I was visiting DC and saw this store was close to the hotel I was staying at. When I went to order a ham and egg sandwich, a Hispanic worker looked at me and said “Breakfast ends at 10:30 AM “ shook his his head no and and motioned that he would not make the sandwich. I was stunned. There were no signs in the store saying no breakfast sandwiches after 10:30 AM. It almost looked like he made up that rule on the spot. The other workers said nothing. I told the worker that if that was really true, they should have signs posted to let the customers know about that. Everyone shrugged. An officer from a local college was behind me on line and told them they should help me with my sandwich and that she was there YESTERDAY at the same time and ordered a breakfast sandwich. I think the workers were embarrassed by that statement and made the sandwich. The service was very poor. Would...

I agree with some or the other reviews. The Staff are very rude and talk about you in Spanish to each other. I speak Spanish and I have heard them do so. Ingrid is only nice when you don't question anything or ask something out of the ordinary. Don't let a homeless person come in.. she puts the change jar under the counter and it just rude to them.. I remember when she first started and didn't know a thing and now she is quite arrogant. She shouldn't be a team lead. Then we are always asked if we have additional items in our box or on our sandwich. If I didn't tell you, don't ask.. No, I don't have cheese or egg whites or avocado. If you they are so concerned it should be written on the items, don't make customers feel like they are stealing.. Management needs...
