Shop Around the Corner — Local services in Washington

I would like to start off by saying a little customer service goes a long way! I was just in there with my two kids who are only 4 and 5 .. We were In The toy section looking though the toys so that I could get my kiddos something and you all know how little kids can be.. They pick things up and look at them and they sit on things that rock.. When are very rude employee named Irene comes over and tells me in a very rude manner "Your kids can NOT play with the toys!" I then proceed to tell her that my kids we not PLAYiNG with the toys but looking for something to get.. She then deciedes to stand there and argue with me about it. Which ok I had a whole bunch of stuff I was gonna buy so I set it all back down and asked to speak with the manager.. The manager then apologizes for Irene's behavior but still she acted as if I was lieing .. And then the manger tells me that they have problems with kids playin with the toys.. Well whatever.. If you don't want kids to play with the toys then don't have a toy section in a retail shop! So if u have little kids I most defiantly would not take them in there! For you might get yelled at by the rude staff that works there! I will...

I went in to get some information about putting some of my items up for sale on consignment. The woman who I spoke to was a customer service all star. I was very excited about this place by time I left. So many things to look through there's no telling what you might find. Pricing is fair. It was clean and you have plenty of room to move around unlike a lot of resale shops I have visited. My only complaint is I came in the store with two friends of mine and browsed around for about 10 minutes before speaking to the woman about consignment services. During that intial 10 minutes all three of us felt like we had been profiled as potential shoplifters. I felt eyes on me the entire time I looked around until I spoke to the woman in charge. My friends and I all agreed afterwards had that one employee not been so kind and helpful we would probably not return to shop here. Not only were we made to feel like we were profiled by being surveillanced, a few employees even talked to us like we were no good thieves. It's ok to keep an eye out for crooks and protect against theft but don't make people feel like you already think they are going to...

Not a good place to sell. I took 4 truck loads of things from my parents home after they passed. I never got ANY credit for the items! I kept asking week after week if anything sold ..and they kept telling me there was no money in my account month after month! When I looked in the store, I could not find any of the household or furniture items that I had taken. The manager was no help when I asked why I had no credit and my items were no longer in the store.....4 truck loads....really???? Someone was stealing from my account...or not giving me credit...and there was nothing I could do. This may be a good place to buy ..but not to sell! Shame on who ever stole our account money...or did not give us credit. We were still grieving our parents death...then to have their things taken and no credit given was a slap...
