Bob Evans — Restaurant in Washington

We went on a week day about 11:40 am. They seated us and our waitress didn't come for a long time, getting just the drinks took quite a while. She wouldn't go around checking on customers, even us when we were looking at her and said excuse me. She never came back and refilled or even offered to refill any of our drinks the entire time we were there. She acted like we didnt exist until she wanted to come to our table. It took a long time for the food to come out. We almost just left. When she finally came back to take our order it seemed like she was having a hard time understanding everything. Like no I don't want the chicken strip meal i just wanted the order of just the tenders and sauces. When she finally brought the food out she would bring us one or sometimes two plates at a time with 8-12 minutes between between each plate. She didn't bring one person's order at a time. We all got random plates instead of one person getting all their items. It was all mixed up and we were even missing frys and banana bread and a side of ranch that we had to remind her and ask for several times because she forgot. When she finally brought them she leaned her chest on the banana bread that was on the tray while she sat down a different item on the table. We never got the other ranch. The cinna-biscuits were extremely dry and beyond crunchy on their corners. The chicken tenders came out and they were soggy on the bottom from sitting in a puddle of grease in their bowl plate. The burger was cold and the beef patty was completely flavorless, it also had an entire chunk of onion that was to much. The kids meal was way smaller than what we were expecting. It came with one little piece of French toast and one sausage link and a bowl of cut up apples that looked like they were covered in bruises. The only decent meal was the grilled chicken. Every disappointed this morning. This facility can do much better. Arrival 1015 departure 1055. Observation - seven tables had customers, three wait staff, one cook, one cashier, and one management position. Granted a big carryout order was being put together in the kitchen with one cook and one wait staff. After being seated it took almost ten minute to get a grass of water and place an order. During this ten minutes I witnessed what I can only assume as management spend five minutes at each table talking. It is good to know that the manager was more concerned about his boat and the horsepower a 351 Windsor engine produces rather than assisting his wait staff or cook with the large carryout order. After twenty-five minutes the three eggs over easy and steak showed up. Eggs were ok but the steak was completely over done and was difficult to cut. Water was refilled once and glass of orange juice that was ordered never arrived at the table. Observation - several tables were left with dishes on them due to the wait staff struggling. Recommendation - work together as a team, management needs to observe his staff and assist them before they become overwhelmed. I frequent the facility often, having excellent service in the past. Terrible!! This is my second bad experience with this location, this time I made it my last! I took my children there for dinner, after their practices. The server was nice even though it took her 8 minutes just to get our drink order, and this place was NOT busy, at all!! We ordered breakfast food, and my son ordered a cheeseburger. 10 minutes after we got our drinks, a couple sat down at a table beside us. We are waiting, hungry, patiently, and see the couple receives their food, and we still haven’t. At this point we have been here for 40 minutes. The manager comes over and she says I see you looking around is everything ok? I said well I’m trying to understand why after 40 minutes we still don’t have our food, and these people just sat down and already eating. She goes to check, and sends the server over to us. The server says, oh sorry, they forgot you, but they are starting on your food now. Anyone with children, whom been at school all day, then sports, can understand the frustration of hungry children, and waiting 40 minutes in a basically empty restaurant and still no food. Had the restaurant been busy, I would have been a bit more understanding. Instead, we left and went to Colton’s, and had way better service.
