I always tried to support local business and I have been buying sandwiches, sides, sausages, and bread from Stachowksi’s on a regular basis since I moved here in early 2022. When I started coming here the service was fast, energetic, engaging, you were greeted upon walking in. It made you want to come back.
The past two weeks I see a change in the kind of service you receive and the quality of food. You are no longer greeted upon entering. You stand at the butcher counter for 5 minutes before you’re acknowledged. There are usually 3-4 employees there around 3-4pm. They continue their conversations while you stand there waiting to receive and pay for a service, but leave feeling like a nuisance.
Yesterday I bought roughly $60 worth of pork for dinner to eat tonight. I open the fridge to find a horrible smell. When I open the stachowski bag it was coming from the pork in the deli paper. It made me gag from the smell. For $60 I was upset that I received bad meat from my local butcher shop to compliment the deteriorating service. Guys please step your game up. I was ready to cook some Bone-In Pork Chops for my family before they left and ended up having to throw my hard earned money in the trash and order take-out.

Read moreThis particular store, is actually the exact reason why streets market cannot sell steak and other produce, in their Georgetown location literally two blocks down . If Jamie cared about the local residents , he would wrap this gig up . So the kids , moms , and dads can have more options instead of feeling bad for this small mom and pop shop , which by now is done for. I had there sandwiches , I had there dinners , no one in Georgetown cares too much about this place . It will be better off without Jamie not because I hate Jamie but because streets market has so much more to offer at much affordable prices and quality . All of the products are overrated and that's an understatement, the only thing that's cool about this place is the aesthetic and last name . Other than that it would be cool to see this place becoming a streets market as well , I hate the fact a business like streets market has to lower its standards so this guy can survive . Streets market...
Read moreI was super excited to come to this place because we have delis like this back in Boston that are amazing. I’m not sure if it was just the sandwich that I got, which was the roast beef, but the roast beef was over cooked and the sandwich didn’t have much flavor on top of it. Also with a sandwich that big the bread being toasted which they don’t tell you, tore up the inside of my mouth. Overall, the place was nice and the service was awesome but the roast beef sandwich is not one I would go back for. The size of the sandwiches are amazing but when you’re paying $25 for a sandwich, I would hope so. The sandwich only had coleslaw roast beef, tiger sauce, and Swiss cheese, which I’m not sure what the sauce was because I could only taste the coleslaw and you couldn’t taste the Swiss cheese either. I don’t know, I want to go back to try the others but this was a...
