Went to Gold Rush jewelers to get something appraised, so I asked them how much would it cost, “ they quoted me $35 for a verbal praise plus extra $35 for each piece, and for a written appraisal $95 plus. If you ever want something appraise, believe me, you don’t want to take it there. On top of that, they said they have to send it off somewhere to get it appraised. Well, that sounds kinda of fishy to me. reason being why they have to send something away, which they could do anything to it, and the return may not be what you gave them. What a scam of the people who trust them.

I went somewhere else and got a better result. The verbal appraisal was free, and the written appraisal would cost. I could deal with that. Beware of gold rush jewelers here...

I am a very satisfied returning customer! I went to buy a chain and have the clasps changed to larger fittings on 5 necklaces. As I came in I was greeted .. while there I chatted with 3 employees and met the 2 resident dogs :) Seth was a great listener and pointed out I had 3 different golds or silvers and gave me quotes on all options. I purchased a chain for one of my lockets. He offered to get the work done that day and gave me a time to return. One of the claw clasps on a silver chain I purchased a few months ago was faulty and he replaced it at no charge. I now have 6 necklaces I can wear and enjoy and could not be more satisfied with my choice of Alaskan Gold Rush Jewelers! I recommend you start with them with purchases and repairs - we are truly lucky to have them here...
