I discovered Riverside Cemetery in October 2020. As I was researching what would be my first resident & his family of Riverside. I've been able to document through photos the beautiful landscaping, monuments, lakes, chapel and some wildlife there, throughout these years. I've come to know some of the representatives of Riverside & can say, all that participate there in maintaining, developing and beautifying Riverside Cemetery, all have one thing in common; Dedication and committment to Riverside. A beautiful place , I hold dear to my heart, its a piece of outdoor historical importance of Waterbury. As the years roll by, I've researched many names that reside there, read books on Riverside, and visit quite frequently. Not only is it a sacred place, but one that offers peace & serenity. The cemetery has a caretaker very dedicated and associations, that hold dedication & heart. The Chapel there, could use some help with restoration, I"ve seen roads paved, lakes clean, grounds beautifed , and again, a great effort of dedication. The hours are till 4 pm during the week. I would hope someday, there can be hours till dusk, to allow individuals there that would like to be there later in the day. Open on weekends. Events planned there are to help with the assistance of caretaking with the cemetery. A suggestion would be is to reach out to local churches and organizations, that can help volunteer with...

I hope one day the town grows a bit and begins to...
