Worst experience ever ! Got married to the love of my life on Sept 3rd at Aria. Where we were referred to this Marriot for our friends from out of town, as well as our rehearsal dinner. We had 30 or so people for our dinner on the 2nd we chose the clock tower dinner package. Steak was dry like cardboard and flavorless. On the night of our wedding we a block of approx 30 rooms bought an paid for which were all supposed to be on the same floor (the 11th) that didn't happen. My friends and family were spread out on every floor. We had been had scheduled for an after party to be held in the bar after our wedding to chat and catch up with everyone we didn't get a chance to see at the reception as things get busy with photographers and what not. We were assured via email that the Bar/Starbucks would stay open until 1 am. We had confirmed this multiple times and put it on our wedding invitations. When we arrived back to the hotel after our ceremony at approx 10:45 there was a line at the bar of two couples. I was third in line, I was about to order a drink with my best man and relax the server walked away and turned off the light and said sorry were closed. Meanwhile more of my guests were arriving and filling the lobby area, and seating areas. They have a large living room lobby with quite comfortable couches and lounge chairs. I went up to the front desk and spoke to Landon, he said there was nothing he could do about it and he couldn't authorize overtime. I explained to him that we had a contract with the event coordinator highlighting the bars hours were going to be extended to 1am. I had about 60-80 people here ready to spend good money & tips on drinks & food. He then began referring to us as "you people". Despite feeling insulted I asked if I could purchase all of the drinks in Lobby's snack shop fridge, so at least I could hand out something to my guests while they were hanging out. He than yelled out that he was not selling any of you people anything. I think it was the moment that they threatened to call the police on their guests instead of speaking to them with respect is the moment my beautiful bride broke down in tears apologizing to everyone for how the this hotel had screwed up the most important night of our lives. The next morning we did not spend a dollar on break fast instead we got door-dash. Carlin the manager who was familiar with our planned event apologized profusely. She was great and assured us that Jay (the event coordinator) was on his way in. When he arrived he approached us in a calm and cool manor and apologized as well and assured us that this never should of happen. He would talk to his higher-ups and comp us a portion of the $2500-3000 rehearsal dinner or our $500 + a night room. We got a got a call the next day saying his higher up was going to be out for a while so he didnt have a resolution yet. We ended up getting a $30 credit off one of our rooms an offer of a free stay in the future. Ha I only stay at Marriott hotels and am a proud longtime bonvoy member, but will never step foot in this hotel again. Marriott should be...
Read moreUsed bookings.com to book same day for a road trip. I started reading some less than stellar reviews, but could not cancel by that time. I tried calling the hotel with no answer several times. When we arrived, we really did not expect much. However, we did have a good stay and the room was fine - clean and quiet, despite having several weddings going on this weekend in July,. It was a sixth floor facing the parking garage. ||Things to know:||The ENTRANCE is on the opposite side of the hotel from Grand Street where it is officially located. Drive around the back of the hotel where the actual front door is located on a circular drive. The drive is very narrow so if there are other cars parked, it is very hard to maneuver past them to get to a spot where you can offload your belongings. Yes, there is a $15 fee to park in the parking garage, which is a short walk across the side street.||The LOBBY when you walk through the double doors is a sunken living room. There is no indication of where reception is located. This is the worst hotel lobby design I have ever seen (out of possibly thousands that I have seen from working with hotels). It needs a major overhaul. ||There is no sign in indicating where the reception is located. And there is no clear line of site in any direction. When you walk through the double doors walk to your right down to the very end where there appears to be a bar. (Over the reception there are several bottles of wine for no apparent reason.) But that is the reception desk. ||There are three desks for receptionists. But there is no way to clearly see all three when standing at any point. There was a long line with people with issues, but yet no one acknowledged our arrival or mentioned that it would be a few minutes wait.||Finally, we checked in and yes, I would say the receptionist are friendly, but maybe could be a LOT more efficient.||There’s a popcorn machine right before the reception with chilled fruit fruit-infused water. That is a nice welcome however, people are messy and there’s popcorn all over the lobby floor. The lobby carpeting looks very dirty and the decor in the lobby truly needs an update.||The ROOM was clean, fairly large, had great working air-conditioning, comfortable beds, nice linens and gave us a very quiet night’s sleep.||On departure, the front entrance was very messy with things people had spilled or dropped and no trashcan in sight.||Overall, the department of first impressions should be fired. But if you simply need a good nights sleep - we did have a relatively low rate compared to other locations- it’s fine. ||Last, but not least Dalivio, the Italian restaurant, not in the hotel but somehow attached to the hotel did...
Read moreWhere do I begin? I was recently there for my graduation for Post University expected to come into a luxurious hotel first off there was homeless people around the property and inside the hotel we got checked in and we got checked in early and we were grateful for that we wanted to get cleaned up and showered up because we were traveling since 3 AM. There was one towel one washcloth and one hand towel no bath mat no hair conditioner in the shower, the container was empty. The shower just smelled somewhat like a musk or a cedar which is not real universal for men and women went down to the desk and asked the gentleman who checked us in not once Not twice not three times for towels. It took us a fourth time to ask the manager on duty, they had expired food on their shelves. Many of the shelves in their coolers were empty. There’s no microwaves in the rooms small little refrigerators, barely hold anything. The loveseat in our room was OK. However, the rolling adamant had rips and tears all along the side, the drapes, the blackout drapes, hd holes Throughout! When we first entered the room, it stunk like body odor. I had to take my body spray and spray your room. I dropped something on the Floor and when I went down to pick it up, all I could smell was pure urine! The iron that they have in the room was not working. I was unable to iron my attire that I needed for graduation. They have a laundry room on the 11th floor however there is no laundry soap or any necessities up there for you to buy you have to purchase them down on the first floor of the ground floor where you check in however they didn’t have anything but dryer sheets. The beds were the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. I didn’t even sleep in the bed, I slept on a little Loveseat that’s in the room! They have a little bistro on site. The food was pretty good, however not once but twice I’ve had to send back my Starbucks coffee. It was made completely wrong.! The pillows were like sleeping on cylinder blocks. Our socks on our feet were so disgusting from the rugs. We threw them out. The air conditioning worked in our room, but the heat did not. I do not recommend this hotel. They need to do some major upgrading. There was no point in complaining because there was no rooms anywhere in town due to the graduates that have been arriving. This is quite a shock considering it was a Marriott. We are not used to these low standards as we came from Florida, where many of our hotels and resorts are...
