Used to be good when the previous owner ran it. I’ve been several times since and the food is very inconsistent. This last time was the absolute worse. I ordered some empanadillas and they were cold and had very little filling. It was mostly dough. I also ordered some arroz con gandules and pernil. The rice was pale in color and lacking flavor. There were barely any gandules to be found. The pernil was the most disappointing. Half of it was not edible as it was mostly all fat. The pork also had an off smell to it. I’ve tried giving them another opportunity but it’s just not worth it. Puerto Rican’s who know authentic Puerto Rican cuisine will know that this place is just not good. The staff made me feel not welcomed. Everything was one price then he would add a extra dollar here and there. I really left feeling robbed I'm pretty sure the price was wrong. I paid $60 for small beans large rice, two meats and a salad.the salad was ice berg lettuce with 4 slices of tomato no dressing 😑 I asked for avocado he told me they are not ready Everything a problem. Small restaurant and limited seating area. The staff is pleasant. No menus for in restaurant or takeout. Selections can be somewhat difficult if you're not familiar with certain dishes. I ordered a small arroz con gandules( rice with pigeon peas) and pernil ( pork shoulder). Both dishes could've used more seasoning and pernil was a bit overcooked therefore somewhat dry, I did not like this dish.
