I have been a customer of restore for years! I go all over the tri-county areas to each store. This store is near my home and when it first opened it was a treasure to shop here. Now since Mary Lou and Flo are the managers everything is OVER PRICED! I went in on Thursday and saw a beautiful book shelf for $75 dollars. I asked Flo if there was any way should would give me a deal on both a file cabinet and the book shelf. She said NO MAME it's priced reasonable and priced to sale. I said ok. Came back on Friday in hopes to purchase because I had help to take it with me and they had GUAGED price to $150 for the book shelf and $95 for the file cabinet. I asked Flo why? She said because Mary Lou did research on it an updated the price! It is absolutely horrible that these ladies over price these items and there is no regulation on how they price things. I there is no corporate person to complain to or a hirer up. So I called the Attorney Generals office and filed a complaint!! I am tired of them cheating people in the community! People donate to the less fortunate or needy and they use the money to help. But what about those people who are helped by the low prices of things they can't afford? Usually carried at this store. But I guess because it's in Waterford that gives them the right to break the law ! Well if I have to be the one to stand up for this outrages ordeal let see you all in court because your wrong!! It's illegal to priced Guage and I have the pictures to prove it! And guess what they laughed at me. Let's see who gets...
Read moreOkay. I was anticipating to go to this store and find obviously used home improvement items for a decent price. Ha. Absolutely the opposite. While they did have a lot of furniture it was ridiculously priced and majority of it was very dated. I mainly went to check out their kitchen cabinets for a project I was doing. Yes they had cabinets but when I asked a worker how much the two I was interested in was, she said they would not separate them from the 30 other cabinets that were supposed to go together and the whole cabinet set was 7,000.00...I mean, What?! These were not some super high end cabinets or anything they were basic and outrageously priced. She led me to the 4 or 5 that were sold separately and after seeing they had particle board fronts and priced at 55 dollars per cabinet, I could buy a better one at homedepot brand new for the same price. Overall, I would not recommend this store. It's actually a shame because these items they get for free, donated from people who no longer need them. You would think to move inventory quicker and to make money for their organization they would price their stuff at a more reasonable rate considering majority of it is very aged, cosmetically...
Read moreI have given this location numerous chances to change my mind with the pricing. I stopped in today to check for items needed for house. The prices are out of control! It was really slow with only a few customers due to the weather. After checking prices of over 10 items (best price I found was $6 less than walmart) it is probably because consumers are not looking to get ripped off! When a person can go to an online platform to purchase an item for less than a 2nd hand store. Might be time to adjust the pricing gun! The added amusement was finding a 2 piece item that clearly went together and displayed connected! each item was priced separately. On positive note, my Grama will be excited to find out how much her precious moments are worth. Maybe they pay the hard working employees really, really well! Won't be shopping or donating here...
