About 17 years ago I went to Soundcraft to get a full sound system for my car, new speakers, amps, 3 10” subs. It was amazing, it sounded better than I could’ve ever imagined. It SLAMMED! The sound quality was immaculate and the installation was extremely clean and professional. My car didn’t have tweeters and they drilled and installed a couple and it looked great- not out of place.
I had that system slamming reliably for about ten years until I had to get rid of the car. Over the years I’ve been tolerating my vehicle’s stock speakers but always day dreaming about having that crystal clear sound and listening to music the way it was meant to. You really don’t understand how many sounds and his and lows you’re missing until you play through a high quality setup.
About 6 months ago I ordered a brand new truck the way I wanted it built from the factory. I purposely chose a trim under the highest level because I knew I was going to take it to Sound Craft and rip out the stock speakers and get that sound quality I’ve been missing all these years. (Aftermarket completely blows “high end” stock systems out of the water. Night and day difference)
I was delighted to work with Tony and his crew again. and they’re the only ones I’d trust to install on my brand new vehicle (2000) miles.
They did a phenomenal job on the install and even went above and beyond to hide all the wires for my aftermarket dash cams!
I work as a plumber and to give you a bit of perspective, you can throw together some pipes to make an install or repair and it will work- but what separates the craftsmen from the hacks is those who take pride in their work and take the extra time and steps to do it properly- to not only have it functional but to look professional and clean.
That is what the guys at soundcraft are. Craftsmen that take their job very seriously and you can see the pride in their work and installations.
They have my utmost respect because I know how easy it would be to cut corners just to get it done faster and they do NOT do that.
I cannot recommend SoundCraft enough, Tony is a great honest guy, a local business and his guys really are top notch. I appreciate them taking care of me and my new truck and know they’re there for me should any issues arise.
That being said, check them out, I really wouldn’t trust going anywhere else and I’m elated to have that crystal clear sound back that I’ve been missing all these years. Every time I get in my truck for my commute I get excited because the audio really is an experience and worth...
Read moreI found SoundCraft online and knew nothing about them before I had work done there. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was going to be very happy. I will say this first and foremost: SoundCraft is phenomenal and I love the work they did on my Cherokee!!!
Back in my teens and early twenties, all I cared about was having the biggest subs, biggest amps and I was that idiot with so much bass that you could hear the trunk rattle from a mile away. Being a bit older now, it's not about having the loudest speakers; I wanted high quality equipment that makes my music sound fantastic... SoundCraft went above and beyond for me.
The owner is hands on and cares not only about his customer, but seems to really take care of his staff as well! The guys are extremely talented, friendly, and seem like they really enjoy working there. Might just be me, but I believe that any store's employees are the best litmus test to determine the quality of the business. The staff at SoundCraft happen to be a perfect example of how a business should treat its employees. They could not have been more friendly, did fantastic work (custom box, 10" subs, amp, etc.).
Additionally, I cannot say enough about the owner as well. As I mentioned above, I found them online and went in to discuss what I was looking for. He listened to what I wanted and put together an amazing package for me. No trying to push things I didn't need or want; he created a custom package specifically for my car (Cherokees have pretty small trunk / cargo areas). Any other store, I would have had to deal with a sales guy looking to make a commission trying to get me to spend ridiculous amounts of money just to end up with a stock box and a way over powered amp.
That is not SoundCraft. Custom work, extremely reasonable prices considering what I purchased. Not to mention, when I had one issue with my subs (which was not SoundCraft's fault), I showed up and I was greeted by my first name and help fix a strap at no cost because that is the type of company they are!!!
I could go on and on about them, but I think you get the idea. Anyone who has asked about my system, I have told them go right to SoundCraft and don't even think about going anywhere else. My wife's brother is graduating this year and as a present... I'm having SoundCraft hook his car up.
Go check them out, you will not be disappointed. This is the only I will have do work on my cars going forward. You will be beyond happy!!!

Read moreWhen I brought my clarion NZ500 stereo into Best Buy and asked them to place it in my 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol, the installer took one look at it and told me that it couldn't be done. Based on the way the unit functions, the stereo would be too far set back in the dash to allow the nav screen to function in an upright position. When I considered returning the unit, my wife's coworker informed me that the staff at Soundcraft Car Stereo have a knack for making impossible stereo installations possible.
This was no easy task; The stereo had to stick far enough out of the dash so that the 7" nav screen operation would not be hindered by the dash itself. We also had to make sure that it didn't stick out too far, for the nav screen operation might be obstructed by the stick shift. Co-owner Tony Frankopoulos quoted me what I felt was an extremely reasonable price given the task ahead of them, and we scheduled an appointment to have the radio put in.
They finished in a little under an hour and a half, and when all was said and done, they made the system look fantastic! You cannot see any of the metal casing behind the front face plate. My unit was missing the USB extension cable and Tony provided one for me. Despite my insistence that I pay for it, he refused to accept the money for it. My gratitude and my satisfaction as a customer were sufficient for him.
Soundcraft Car Stereo is owned and staffed by individuals who are expert installers thoroughly committed to customer satisfaction. in fact, calling them "installers" is nearly an insult. The guy at Best Buy was a mere installer. Tony and crew at Soundcraft are ARTISTS. They engineer solutions to automotive stereo problems and the result is a beautifully designed and installed stereo system. I submit that anyone in Connecticut looking for a radio installed in their vehicle, whether it be an easy job or a difficult one, would be remiss to look anywhere else. I recommend Soundcraft Car Stereo...
