NV Bakery & Market — Restaurant in Waterford

Cute café with ample seating in doors and outside on their patio. Lots of items to choose from it was hard to make a decision! From eggs benedict to fancy breakfast sandwiches to elaborate grill cheese sandwiches. I had the Spicy Chicken Grilled Cheese which involved grilled chicken, avocado, bacon, and pepperjack cheese on toasted bread, it was more so a chicken sandwich than a grilled cheese. But it was filling! I saved the other half for left overs. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the avocado was ripe! My boyfriend got the Shaved Steak Grilled Cheese, which also was more like a steak and cheese sandwich. The onions were cooked well and both dishes came out warm! Each dish also came with a small cup of tomato soup which was warm and tasty. I couldn’t pass up a chocolate chunk cookie while I was there, which I took home and warmed up later, a bit too sweet for me, but lots of chocolate chunks in it! It was messy! NV is a nice spot in New London for breakfast and lunch. They have an extensive menu with many different kinds of grilled cheese, smoothies, breakfast foods, and more. There’s also a bakery with baklava, cheesecake, carrot cake, cannolis, cookies, and much more! The staff is friendly and they efficiently get through their seemingly never-ending rush of customers.

I ordered the prosciutto and fig grilled cheese and a pumpkin smoothie, and I waited no more than 15-20 minutes for my order. The sandwich was amazing but the smoothie did not taste like pumpkin enough to my liking (tasted more like walnuts), but overall, the food was definitely worth the price. I especially loved the little cup of tomato soup included with every grilled cheese order.

There’s mostly indoor seating for groups of 1-5 people, but not large groups especially...

We order breakfast at least once a week, sometimes two. Sally is always pleasant and makes sure our order is correct and she is extremely professional. Our food is always hot and made the correct way. If ever we had a problem it was made correct right away. Trevor is our favorite delivery driver, always so sweet and friendly. Today 11/14/2019 we placed an order with Trevor and was declined to order. We are calling from a medical office building so sadly we had four credits cards that we were paying with plus a cash order and they denied us service stating, “there were too many cards”. They will not deliver for anything less than 30.00 and we were over that, now there’s too many cards?? We’ve ALWAYS tipped their driver very well.
