La Michoacana Premium - Belvidere St — Restaurant in Waukegan

When I buy ice cream cones for my kids I usually ask for a container so that their ice cream doesn’t end up on the floor. They usually hand me a styrofoam cup at no extra charge. I asked the guy if he could switch it for a styrofoam plate, but instead he thought I was asking him for the clear michoacana cups. He said those were a $1 extra and I clarified that I didn’t ask for those cups. He handed me the styrofoam plate and when it was time to pay they were charging me extra for a cup. I had never been charged for a styrofoam cup in all the years that I frequent this business. Where is this businesses’ understanding and empathy towards its clients? Why am I getting charged for a food tray that at the most costs .03 cents? I wasn’t requesting a topping. I purchased ice cream on a cone for a 4 and 5 year old....

store was basically empty when i walked in and did not get any help for about 15 minutes. While the people after me were all being helped right away. i finally asked someone for help, i didn’t do this before because i didn’t want to disturb anyone but after i noticed most of the employees were looking for something to do i asked for help and he asked me if anyone asked if we needed help which obviously not because i would’ve been out of there already. while i was waiting i had lots of them glancing at me but not asking if we were already being helped, which better ask than assume, i’d rather have everyone in there ask if i was already being helped then no one saying a thing just doing random stuff. was very...

Hands down the best ice cream shop in the area! La Michoacana Premium is an amazing place with an incredible variety of flavors. They offer over 30 ice cream flavors, more than 30 types of popsicles, plus choco-bananas and a ton of other delicious treats.

But it doesn’t stop at ice cream—this place has Mexican street corn, tostitos preparados, fresh fruit mixes, natural squeezed juices, and so much more. I honestly don’t know any other place that offers such a huge variety of flavors and products under one roof.

I highly recommend this spot to non-Latino communities—if you’ve never tried Mexican flavors, this is the perfect place to experience them. You...
