I called in at the beginning of this month to place an order for the thanksgiving dinner as I do every year, from different stores, depending on which family memberâs home we are celebrating at. Yesterday 11/10 I received a phone call telling me that I needed to come in and pre pay for my order on 11/10 or 11/11 otherwise it would not be reserved. I was a bit confused because Iâve never had to pay this far in advance but agreed to come in since our family enjoys the dinner. Today, 11/11 I went in to pay for my order and as I approached the counter there were three employees visible. One taking care of a customer and two not helping customers. I made eye contact with a woman with red hair expecting her to greet me and she said absolutely nothing so I thought maybe she wasnât taking customers and I simply needed to wait for the older short haired woman to be finished with the customer ahead of me. When she said goodbye to them she simply turned away from me and went to talk to the other two workers. That is when the woman with red hair stepped forward again and I had to initiate verbal communication. Working in the service Industry for decades, I know that verbally acknowledging your customer should be one of the first things you do, even if it is to say I will be with you shortly. My order was nowhere to be found so a nicer woman that seemed to be some kind of supervisor took a new order for me and accompanied me to make the payment. This woman was very professional and kind, I was grateful for her. My review is mainly because of the initial interaction with deli staff. You only have one chance to make a first impression and they really dropped the ball. I also think it would be beneficial in order to build trust with the community you serve, to be up front and let us know you expect payment when the order is placed. I am trusting you to follow safe and hygienic practices with food my family will consume and should not be made to feel like I have bad intentions. I understand theft and loss is a huge problem in retail, but Iâd love it if as a company, youâd also work on not treating your customers like criminals.
Sorry for the lengthy review. I really needed to express my thoughts on this as Iâd love to continue to shop here and not feel as if Iâm doing something ilegal every...
Read moreTonyâs is a great fresh Market, good sales, area is clean and organize. However, my issues is with the cashier and manager Jose. The issue was the I asked the cashier if Iâm need to add my phone number to receive A $15.00 off when you spend $100.00 or more. She Didât answer that all, Iâm ask her again. She answer by just moving her head like no? Then A proceed to paid for my groceries a total of $114.35. But there was no $15.00 off. At this point I check with her why I did not received the discount. She response by said you need to pay on line. At this time Iâm was getting upset and told her thatâs why I was asking what I need to do to get it, but you (cashier) ignore me. Then I went to the customer service to see how I can get the discount But the manager was ruth and negative. He did not help me that all. At the same time There was a lady requesting her money beck because the meat have some insects. He response that he cannot give the money bak, but she can get another meat but no refunds. He change his mind after she told him that she was going to call corporation to file a complain and call FDA as well. My opinion the store has alott of potential to be that number one to buy from the lake county area. But there is aneed of made changes with manager and the cashier team. Hope the owner read my complain and reply to my Review. Very...
Read moreI will never buy meat from this store again!! On Sunday I went to this store to purchase ground turkey, the only ground turkey that was available was expiring same day and also there were packages of ground turkey that expired days ago. When I asked an employee to look in the back to see if there was any fresher ground turkey they said that all they had was the ground turkey that was expiring on the same day.
That is not the bad part...i also informed the employee that there were 6 packages of ground turkey that had expired 4 days ago. And I asked him if he was going to throw them away. He seemed annoyed and he said that he was going to throw them away later and walked away. The next day I went to the store to check if they had a fresh load of ground turkey and it was the exact same turkey that I had seen the day before!!! And to make matters worse they REMOVED the expiration dates from the meat!!! I searched the entire package and there was not an expiration date to be found.
The meat was so expired it was turning grey and instead of throwing it away to avoid getting people sick they just removed the expiration dates and still tried to sell it. That is absolutely disgusting that they would risk getting someone sick just to avoid losing a...
