I have been working on my Jeep all weekend. I made four different trips to the Wauseon store. Each time, for knowledgeable auto people, youād think they would be helpful and want to help. On EVERY single trip, I had to explain what I needed and what it did. Then on my last trip back to return loaner parts, I wanted to return one of the bleeder hoses I purchased, because when I purchased it, no one would come from behind the counter to help me pick out what I actually needed. So I purchased both. Four people knew what I asked for, but let me purchase the incorrect items. It was a clear hose to bleed my brakes. They let he purchase lawnmower line. Yes, Iām an idiot for not knowing. But as I had to chase down a receipt for one that I didnāt open, I just took it personal. I told the guy that they should have helped me find a hose to fit the blended valve. He said ā Iām in retail, I find know those thingsā. I almost fell out. Due to his statement, I told him that he then needed to work in fast food. I let him know that there are way too many others to purchase from than Autozone. I need people who know what they sell, and can answer questions. If all they have is Wal Mart checkers, Iāll visit OāReilleys! Iām done with Autozone. I spent over $400 this weekend. Iām sure so rice else has...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife expressed concern going to the shop the other day due to previously not having great customer service experiences. AutoZone sold her the incorrect part initially and she was going back to return/replace the necessary item. The employee she was working with was incredibly condescending to her. He complained about how she wasn't able to recognize that AutoZone had sold her the incorrect product in the first place and that now, AutoZone was going to have to "eat the cost" of that item. She returned home feeling terrible and even more uncomfortable with the idea of walking into any automotive store again. Not just AutoZone. I contacted the regional office and put in a formal complaint. I received a voicemail right before 5pm from the store's manager, John. He did not apologize in the voicemail or suggest in any way that he was sorry that someone at his store might have behaved in a way that could warrant a complaint. Instead, in an irritated tone, he just said "hey, this is me. Just trying to figure out what happened". It's a pathetic excuse for management. This type of customer service is child-like and inconsiderate. We will be taking our business elsewhere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwo grey shirts (managers) were rude and off putting. The one behind the counter missed a sale due to asking a young lady with a base line van if she had a āheavy duty brake systemā on a base model soccer van so he could get back to unloading the shipping truck. The other grey shirt I dealt with was very condescending and gave me the run around when all I needed was wiper blades for my dodge 2500 work truck (didnāt offer a tape measure or anything) so thatās another sale missed out on. I wonāt be making any other purchases from this store Iāll take my business to...
