My computer crashed in Nov. 2020 and after calling ASUS I was reluctant to mailing them my device to fix. Finally after 4 months and asking where to take it locally, It was suggested to me to take it into A Gig Above in Wauseon to Mark and I’m so glad I did! He happened to be available to work on it the same day. He called me when it came to not having my original drive size in stock (which I didn’t need all of that original storage space anyways, what he had available is all the storage I need). The cost was exactly what I expected it to be and my $1300 gaming laptop was up and running thanks to him within a couple hours of me dropping it off and it cost less to fix it than purchasing a cheap laptop from Walmart! He tried to save any files he could but my drive was toast, HOWEVER, I know better than to save important stuff to my drive and I use cloud storage and external hard drives for such. Read moreI dropped my hard drive and I took it to A Gig Above to have it looked at. The owner proceeded to plug the hard drive in. After the fact, I discovered that this should NOT be done. A dropped hard drive should immediately go to a clean room, and should NOT be powered on. I am disappointed that the owner did not know this.
