I have just returned from the Meijer Pharmacy, Wauwatosa for the very last time. I will NOT be returning anytime in the future. Over a number of years, since the Meijer store opened, I have been a regular customer of their pharmacy. While the early visits were problem free, over the past 2+ years there has NEVER been a visit that didn't incur some sort of problem :- insufficient medications to fill a particular prescription, only received some (?) of the prescriptions from the doctor's office (despite all being sent at the same time); prescriptions not ready despite being ordered two days previously (come back tomorrow after 2pm); lied to regarding the receipt of a particular prescription which subsequently came apart when the assistant offered a partial refill ( how did they know what the prescription was for if it hadn't been received and isn't it illegal to dispense without a prescription?); prescriptions charged to wrong insurance despite printed. records indicating which to use; and FINALLY - "didn't receive the faxed prescription despite being sent twice to correct fax number on 7/24/2025 & 8/18/2025" I had to go to the doctor's office to physically collect a hard copy of the prescription and then deliver it to Meijer for filling. The pharmacist then attempted to bamboozle me with whether it was a Part B or D prescription, none of which was at all relevant. He (Cameron), also asserted that the prescription should have been forwarded electronically and not faxed, which raises the question as to when the doctor's office (Lisa) spoke to the Meijer pharmasist on duty on 8/20/2025 regarding not receiving the faxed prescription, why was she not asked to send it electronically? Not too smart. Must have thought that I fell off the turnip truck!! If this is any attempt at running a professional business, Lord...
Read moreGiving 2 stars because I spoke to the Pharmacist regarding the repeated issue I had with filling my prescription. Other than that, I would’ve given 1 star. I was told that they have new staff, so reason why there is some confusion with fulfilling a prescription. The thing is, I’ve had two problems with filling my prescription on two separate occasions, over a month apart from eachother. Both time, I had given ample opportunity for the prescription request to be approved by the doctor, submitted into the pharmacy and hopefully get it filled. The Meijer Pharmacy is also supposed to contact you when your prescription is ready. I never received a call for a prescription that is ready for pick up since using the Meijer Pharmacy. Makes sense, as when I call the pharmacy to see if my prescription has been filled, I get the same story that my RX needs to be approved for refill. Come to find out, it’s either the pharmacy did not process the prescription order or they don’t know what they are doing. When you give wrong information to a person who is depending on that medication, you’re not only doing them a disservice, you are also interfering in their health. Giving the excuse that you don’t know what you are doing but still giving wrong information when you work at a pharmacy. I hope, they are able to train the pharmacy techs better and are able to process the prescription orders within a timely matter in the future. For now, I will no longer be sending any of my prescription orders to...
Read moreWhile sick, I was searching to fill a prescription that was out of stock elsewhere and this was the second pharmacy I called.
My call was quickly picked up, handled excellently by Eli, and I had clear resolution to getting the prescription needed. I had my coverage questions answered, and I felt like Eli went above and beyond to provide service to me as a patient to ensure my well-being and needs were met.
The team here worked to transfer my prescription same-day, and prepare it for pick-up. All while my out-of-stock pharmacy did nothing, not even notify me of an estimate for when it would be back in-stock.
The pharmacist also quickly answered my questions upon pickup. I’d say this team has gained my trust and set a new bar for what phramacy services could...
