I want to preface this by saying that I am not the type of person to be overly critical of employees/businesses - I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned and I am totally ok with that. What I am not ok with is employees LYING TO CUSTOMERS TO THEIR FACE.
I dropped off my PS5 2 weeks ago and spoke with Janette, who was very sweet at the time. Janette was told that the PS5 will be ready in a week (lie #1). I was additionally upsold Ausrion protection by Janette, and she assured me that I can cancel it in app whenever I want (lie #2). Additionally, I was told that if I can't pick it up within a week, the store will hold onto the PS5 for up to 90 days (lie#3).
After two weeks of not hearing from the store, I gave THEM a call only to be told they cannot fix the PS5 because there are dead bugs inside it (funny, because the store was infested with bugs), and that we should go get it cleaned out and come back. Weird, but ok, since it was a Wednesday I was planning to pick it up on the weekend. The next day I get a call saying that unless I pick up the PS5 THAT DAY they will throw it out (so much for 90 day guarantee). I was able to adjust my schedule to them, and when I showed up to pick up my PS5 there was no one at the front desk. After waiting for 15 minutes, I peeked in the back to inform them that I am here, only to be met with Jenette yelling that I need to stay in the lobby and that I am not better than other people waiting (I checked with the customers there, they said they have been waiting for 30 min). After additional 10 minutes, Jennette comes out and helps everyone else before me even if they got there after me (nice power move). Finally, I was able to grab my PS5, which was placed in a torn up trash bag...
What an absolutely awful experience, do not believe these fake positive reviews. Who lies so much to their customers??? Who yells at customers like that??? I didn't expect to be helped right away, but Jesus Christ how can you not at least greet a customer ("Welcome, we're a bit busy right now, but we will be with you in a minute" - is saying something like this THAT HARD?). Instead I was ignored and when I checked if there was anyone working at the store I was yelled at. What if I was not in town that week, would they just throw away the $500 PS5 after LYING about the 90 day guarantee??? Why did I have to call them after 2 weeks, to check up on my product??? What a madhouse...

Read moreBeyond disappointed. Last fall, I was thinking about buying a new phone or fixing my phone. A relative told me about the place but I was concerned that it would not last. I spoke to someone at the desk and I was told that it had a warranty for a year. That was the deciding factor. Not too long after it was fixed (maybe a month or two), I went back to get it fixed and I was told that because the back was cracked, I should have been told that the 1 year warranty did not apply. I let them know that I was not told and the person agreed that I should have the year. Shortly afterwards, it again broke, and possibly another time. The last time it was fixed. It worked for 6 months or so. It was less than a year from when I originally took it there. So, I went to get it fixed. A salesperson told me that, the person who fixed my phone last put a long note saying that I could not get it fixed again. He printed out a receipt that she allegedly gave me saying that. The person never told me that and If it were on the receipt, I did not recognize it. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager told me that transactions are videotaped or recorded and if that one was, he could see if I was actually told that. But since, it was several months ago, there is no video to prove that she did not tell me. I would have to pay for it. I am so irritated because the manager could clearly see that I got my phone fixed several times without paying. The person writing something in my file and not telling me was wrong. If she told me that, I would have challenged that because I only went there in the first place because of the one year warranty. The manager had no compassion understanding or care. Since the year was almost up, he could have honored it. I even let him know that since the year was not up, I wanted to fix it so that I can pre-order ann iPhone 16. Needless to say my phone has gotten worse and now barely works and will probably die before my iPhone comes in. I refuse to pay them to temporarily fix it because of their dishonest advertisement and lack...
Read moreMy phone screen was cracked to the point where the touch screen sensor wasn't working and the LCD screen was leaking causing the screen to be black in some areas. The back screen was also cracked. I took my phone in to uBreakiFix because I didn't want to invest in a new phone quite yet. The staff was professional and very friendly. They quoted me high, so when the actual price came out to less than what they quoted me, I was pretty happy. For transparency, I have a Samsung s8 and for the repairs I needed (front screen and back screen), they quoted me at around $300, when the actual price came out to be around $250. It's not cheap by any means, but depending on what you need and what you're looking for, you can look at the price as an investment of sorts. Getting my screen probably made it so I can use this phone for a whole other year (maybe more) before I have to buy a new phone. My phone was working great with the cracked screen, so that's why I made the decision to invest in a new screen than a new phone. In the end, I'm definitely saving money. Also, the repairs were same day. They told me it would be done in 3-4 hours, and they got it fixed within 2 hours. I was really impressed with the friendly atmosphere, the quick repair, and the quality of the repair. I would higglu recommend uBreakiFix Wauwatosa to anyone whether it's an emergency fix or a matter of convenience fix (like mine was).
additional note for Covid-19 precautions I felt very safe going into the store. They were only having one customer in the store at a time and...
