Wow! What a treat enjoying properly prepared Japanese food! Instant service, beautiful presentation. I'm not any sort of a food critic or connoisseur so I will describe in simple terms. First thing, after my ginger ale and my friends Merlot arrived, a small bowl of miso soup and a small side salad appeared in front of each of us. Interesting, very fine, quite LONG, nest of shredded carrots over an ordinary iceberg lettuce mix. My only complaint was the water at the bottom of the bowl. Not being familiar with Japanese, maybe it was intentional? It was topped with a grape tomato and a nice amount of an unknown rather light dressing, but it was good! The miso soup's broth wasn't too salty and had perfectly 1/4" diced silky toufu and green pieces that were obviously seaweed. We shared a large bowl of Seafood Soup, (ramen or udon were offered, I chose udon as I am familiar with ramen) that contained plenty of tail on large shrimp, sea scallops, mushrooms, baby bok choy, bamboo shoots and imitation crab. No fishy taste what so ever in either soup. Next, the Oyako Don arrived, which is something like vegetable fried rice but topped with a tasty omelette that was mixed with a lot of chicken. Then we shared a generous plate of Chicken Teriyaki. That was served over an asparagus spear and along side perfect crisp tender fresh broccoli, carrots, and heavily drizzled with a light teriyaki sauce and toasted sesame seeds. We ate less than half of everything and brought the rest home. Our only regret? We should have...

My wife and I stopped in specifically for the lunch special Bento and was blown away. The atmosphere is nice and calm with Rich colors and smiling faces. I had water while my wife thoroughly enjoyed the hot tea.The house salad was wonderfully chilled with probably the best sesame dressing I've had in a restaurant. I had the chicken tonkatsu and my wife had the pork tonkatsu. Both had a wonderful crunchy coating that wasn't at all oily. The rice was flavorful and had a light consistency yet was still manageable with chop sticks. The Bento also includes a wonderful California Roll and a choice of shumai or spring roll. We both chose the shumai which were lightly fried and had a nice texture with just a touch of spice at the end. All in all an excellent experience and I strongly recommend checking them out. They are kind of tucked back off Hwy 100 so finding it might take a little more effort but it's so absolutely worth it. It also makes you feel like it's your own little secret treasure. We will definitely be going...

I come here all the time for sushi and today and I had the WORST experience ever. I walk in like I always do to order the California roll eel with cucumber and the guy taking my order was being very rude. I had brought in a $10 bill and the total was $10.08. He was being very rude I would say about the .08 cents. So I walked out to my car to grab the .08 cents walked back in to my food on the counter and gave him the .08 cents. I left and then realize this was not the food I ordered. I walked back in and asked for the manager to then discover the man that took my order, was being rude, and got my food wrong was the manager. He gave me the right order after I came in showing the wrong food. I love the food and I’ve loved this restaurant but after this I wouldn’t come back. Who ever was managing at 11am on 04/01 should not...

I've been to a hand full of sushi restaurants around the Milwaukee area, and this is one we continually go back to. Not only does it have a convenient location, but also good food and great prices. Generic sushi roles run from $6-$8 with you paying between $10-$20 for a specialty roll. I love their Sweet Potato Roll which is crispy and savory, as well as their Philadelphia and Spicy Tuna rolls, which taste fresh. The portions are good. We usually get 5 regular rolls for 2 people. The restaurant is smaller but has plenty of seating. We usually do not need to wait for a table. That being said, I've never felt like the place was too cramped. I've always been able to hold a conversation at our table easily even during peak hours.

We got the Monkey Brains appetizer, Jason Rolls, Hot Maki, and Beef Negimaki. The monkey brains are very flavorful and were a great way to start the course, they came out very quickly. The Jason Rolls and Hot Maki were both very good, we both ordered the Hot Maki which was recommended by the waitress. The tuna on the Hot Maki was very good and the jalapeno oil gave it a nice tingle. I wish the Jason Rolls had a little bit more of that sweet and sour sauce. The Beef Negimaki was very tender and flavorful, as well as being presented pretty. It came with a miso soup and ginger salad that were both flavorful as well. The service was friendly and quick and we will be back again.
