Never again! Called about six new tires for my dually, $1900 and they had them in stock. Dropped truck off that night. My husband had asked them to check everything out on the front and rear end, while they had the tires off. They called the next morning to say they did not actually have the tires, but the rear end was half quart low, so we owed them $165. Alright, order the tires, we'll bring it back a different day. My husband left work early to go pick up the truck, and while him and his boss were headed that way, my truck passed him going the opposite direction down the highway.... When he asked why, he was told because he asked for an alignment..... Sure, did... AFTER then new tires were on, but they didn't have them, soooo..... Fast forward a few days, the tires are in and we drop it off last night. They were supposed to mount the tires and change a seal. Called and said the tires were done, but they didn't want to mess with the seal. But I also needed new ball joints and idler arms on the front end. No thanks. Just the tires.... Told them we we're keeping the tires that came off of it because they weren't in bad shape.... Go to pick up the truck, and my husband asked if they had changed the valve stems. They said no, because they don't carry the steel ones. Asked where the old tires were and they were out back.... Meanwhile the bill was charging us for tire disposal and new valve stems. He told the guy in the office there was not new valve stems, the guy insisted there was, but we were just told otherwise by the service employee.... I was missing a center cap before I went there, and only needed to order one. They beat the rest of them so bad, it looks better without them now. Not to mention the rim scratches from them trying to pry them off, when they just pull off with your hands. They're all in the trash now. They also didn't line up the inner and outer duals so you can put air in the inner one without taking off the outer. It was a shiz show from day one. I mean, I love my new tires, but they would have been just as nice from anyplace else and a lot less of a headache. Always, always, always... get a second opinion.... That's what we get for not shopping around I guess.... After reading other reviews, I see it's happened a lot here. Pretty sad.
No thanks on the resolution email, found someone else to check it out and do anything else it might actually need. Super disappointing to work out of town 48 weeks out of the year and have to wait to go home for anything that needs done. ... I feel like a company who's employees don't understand what the paint dots on new tires are for, really don't care to help. That seems like a day one lesson at...
Read moreBad place. New manager is probably worse than the last manager.
Two years ago, brought in my Tahoe for a set of Michelins that cost nearly $1000. When I got my car back, there was a three foot scratch on the driver's door. The manager at the time acknowledged the problem and made it good. However, I had to give my car to a body shop for several days and make a couple trips back and forth. You can still see part of the scratch.
Two months ago, my neighbor brought his car to them because the aC was not working. He got the usual story: the compressor was bad and it would take over $1000 to fix it. Well, I used to be a mechanic. So I checked it out. Yes, it was low on Freon, but the compressor was not bad. I jumped the clutch and put in a can of Freon. It's been working fine now for the last six weeks.
Last week, I needed a set of tires on my work truck. After I picked it up and brought it home, I noticed that none of the valve stems had dust covers on them. Looking closer, I found that only one of the four had been replaced even though I had been charged for all four. So I had to bring it back to get the three other valve stems that I had already paid for.
Yesterday, I replaced the rear drums on the truck. In the process of taking off the wheels, I realized that the center caps had been damaged and broken because the yoyo had used an impact on the plastic lug covers. This broke the backings on the beauty covers. Several pieces came off in my hands as I removed the covers. Today, I go back there and show the manager the problem. His excuse was that it was common in older vehicles. I pointed out that the breaks were clearly recent. He actually started to accuse me of breaking them myself.
I know better. I will never go back to the...
Read moreTerrible experience. I understand prices are higher but paying hundreds of dollars for a set of tires for a Jeep Renagade than I just did for my Wrangler is absurd especially when I already have a flat. While I understand road hazards and flats.....this happened over a stick in the road. I ran over a stick! I don't know the brand of these tires and was told they were very good since they were so high. I was told not to repair the tire, fix a flat it or plug it just so I can make it to them as they would not cover the tire under the extra road side if I did so. Fine, I bring the tire in this morning. It needs to be replaced and cannot be fixed.....which I was told it would be covered under the extra road side hazard. Covered except for the $65 fee to remount new tire. Then why did I pay extra for the set if mounting the tire was not covered and why did the guy tell me yesterday that there would be a "mounting fee" as I don't have $65! I' a single working mom of a special needs child and to be told everything is good, your covered, tires are good, dont worry....then nothing is handled or charged way more is unaccepatable. Thankfully, they a gave me the tire I paid for and I will bring it to Walmart to have mounted for $23. Working locally and dealing with alot of local businesses and agencies, I assumed I would be taking care of but I do not feel like I was. I should have priced shop...then again I should have went to Kirks as I have done in the past. I won't make that...
