I purchased a brand new Frigidaire model # FFHB2750TS6 manufactured on 01/19 from CA Wilson in August of 2019 because they promised a quicker delivery than the big box stores. I specifically wanted a duel ice maker fridge for our large family. I selected the fridge and set up a delivery date. On that date the fridge was delivered, however, the salesman neglected to tell me the bottom ice maker would take another week or two and require an install date when it came in. The fridge worked fine until the bottom ice maker was installed, after it was installed the bottom freezer door would not close properly and as a result the ice maker would thaw ice and cause build up in the bottom and side of the freezer. I called for a repairmen to fix it and the first attempt to the freezer door repair worked for two weeks and started doing it aging. I called again and another repairman came out and said the door rails needed to e replaced and that he would order them to be installed at a later date when they came in. A week or two later they cam in and the problem was resolved with no further problems. Finally everything is installed and working as intended for 2 months or so and the upper fridge door ice maker stops working, we were getting water, but no ice. I call and they send a guy out and he says the line froze during the install of our Water Softener/conditioner and thaws the line and we have a fully functional fridge again. One week later the fridge ice make quits again and I call and speak to Justin on a Tuesday morning, not the normal lady (April) that has taken most of my calls previously (5 at that point I believe) and I request a Friday appoint for family convenience and Friday comes and I get no call all week about an appointment time so I call Friday at noon and the April says there was no service call set up for me for Friday and the next available appointment would be the following Monday. I explained that was unacceptable because Justin told me Friday and requested her to talk it over with him and work out a way to honor his words. April called me back and was able to work it out for someone to come out Friday afternoon after all! From my experience I would say go to the big box stores! and not CA Wilson. It was a pleasant experience and we felt good thinking we had found a company who was local that we could call on if needed. Fast forward 5 years. We received a letter from the warranty company in January of 2024 that our 5 year warranty was soon to expire did we want to extend it for another year. We decided to extend and paid another $119.00 for the 1 yr warranty. Fast forward to Wednesday July 3rd. We returned home (late)from a 3 day trip for a funeral and soon realized our frig/freezer wasn’t working. We called CA Wilson and also our warranty co but due to the holiday they were both closed. Friday the 5th we called CA Wilson and was told we needed to call Epic (the Warranty Co) first. So we called Epic and were told they would contact CA Wilson to set up a service call. Then Tonya at CA Wilson called and told us they had scheduled a service call for Tuesday the 9th and that was the earliest they could come out. Fast forward to Tuesday morning we get a call from Tonya at CA Wilson at 8:11 am telling us they can’t come out to service our refrigerator because we didn’t get the extended warranty from them. We told Tonya we assumed since it was the same warranty company as our 5 year warranty that CA Wilson sold us when we purchased the fridge that it was with them. She told us we should have called them to confirm it. Then Tonya told me they don’t do extended warranties after the 5 year warranty and that CA Wilson can’t service our refrigerator because of their contract with Epic the warranty company. So at this point we have a nonworking $3K+ Kitchenaid refrigerator, we have lost everything in the refrigerator waiting for a service call from the company we bought it from and find out the morning of the service call they can’t service our refrigerator because of their contract with the warranty company…..The same warranty company that called them to set up the service call. At this point we feel CA Wilson is like any other company. They bend over backwards to get your money but when you need them ...
Read moreUnfortunately I cant go less than 1 star. My 72 year old mother was in need of a new refrigerator and insisted that C.A. Wilson was the only company that she would do business with because they take care of the customer and stand behind everything they do. Apparently things have changed with this company since she last did business with them because when her new refrigerator was deliver the tech/delivery person totally destroyed the excellent opinion she has had of this company for the last 40 + years. The delivery guy broke some of the stone on her front steps and denied any responsibility for the damage done. the delivery person did not have any of the few tools required to disconnect and reconnect the water supply for the ice maker and as a result he damaged the water valve to the point that it had to be replaced. C.A. Wilson refused to accept any responsibility. If only I could give a negative star. Do not be surprised if C.A. Wilson attempts to marginalize my elderly mother and minimize the detrimental effects that this Refrigerator fiasco had on her well being in this or any other on-line review. Save yourself a whole lot of head and heartache and shop with a reliable and dependable company like Lowes or Home Depot who will stand behind and support the customer even when a dead beat installer makes a few mistakes and does their very best to place responsibility on anyone and everyone other than themselves. The plumbing company that came out to check on the damaged valve was great! They clearly stated the damage to the cutoff valve was a result of the valve being turned way past the stopping point. They opted not to charge Mom for the repair after hearing about her challenges with the C.A....
