We were excited to have perfect patio weather on a day we had last minute changed our minds on cooking dinner and to try this new place we recently saw passing by. The patio is inviting from afar, especially in a town that doesn’t have many patios, rooftop patios at that. Unfortunately, we were told we couldn’t sit on the patio because it was wet.. from a light rain shower 4 hours prior. We asked if they could just wipe down a table and 2 chairs, as we saw an entire table of employees sitting around and the restaurant was empty, or offer us towels to do it ourselves and we were told no, the patio is closed. We specifically went there to enjoy their patio, so we left and went across the street to an open patio for afternoon drinks and an early dinner. As we sat enjoying our drinks, we noticed the restaurant next door had patrons on their patio (see attached picture). So the restaurant next door had no problem wiping the tables and chairs down to allow patrons on their patio. If we had realized that was not all the same rooftop patio, we would’ve went next door. The only thing we know of that sets this Mexican food restaurant apart from all the others in town is that rooftop patio so to close it on a perfect weather day IN JUNE, is saying something about the laziness of the employees and / or the willingness to turn business away. We will continue to frequent our favorite Mexican restaurant in town over trying this one from this one...
Read moreExcellent food and service. I have traveled extensively and eaten at many places. I have been very blessed to take pleasure in the most expensive, highest quality places and I have been forced to eat at some of the quick/kid friendly places as well! One of the most important items to me is cleanliness. If the restroom is not well stocked and clean that is a cause for concern. If the staff are not capable of keeping the customers’ most used place neat and tidy, how can they possibly handle preparing my food and getting my order delivered correctly and promptly. I also observe the host and wait staff. The hostess/greeter must be friendly and knowledgeable to win me over. The person holding this position can make or break the business. I enjoy a menu with a variety of offerings. Our family will normally get an appetizer, main course and a variety of desserts. We enjoy a sampling of items. I usually take notice of the presentation of the food and try to post pictures when possible. Our family enjoys distinctive cuisines. We enjoy cooking together and it is fun to experience different food items at unique places. I do believe that the amount of food served should be equivalent...
Read moreIt's definitely a great place for taste and foodies. I had the fajitas pineapple, which was amazing! Grilled pineapple with chicken, green peppers, and onions. The chicken meat was succulent and had great flavor. The wife had the chicken poblana with cream sauce. She remarked that the only thing she might change is to add onions to it. Rich taste and flavors. The chicken was again moist and full of flavor. My only gripe would be that the rice portions / the fajita dressings were sparse. This is an interesting place in that it's a sit-down restaurant, but it is small enough to not have the same feel. The atmosphere was decent for a Saturday. There was music playing that was not too loud. The service was beyond amazing! Our waiter, Elicio, was constantly checking for drinks and if we were good. He was backed up by the 3 other servers, who each in turn checked on us. Elicio was very knowledgeable and even checked in with us about our appetizer, the queso flandido, to make sure we understood that it was different than a regular order of queso. I am thourghouly impressed and we will definitely...
