The Waycross Hobby Lobby is a home and crafts supply store.
Here you can expect to browse through an ever-rotating inventory that sometimes has what you want - and other times feels like a waste of time because what you went for, they no longer carry. That being said, they have an amazingly large variety, but no intention keeping any specific item in stock unless it's a simple item like paint.
There are also alot of markdowns, but center-store seems to have no specific price-display system -causing customers to have to man-handle items and look around for a few minutes before finding a price - if there is one to be found in the first place.
Staff here seems out-of-the-way, stepping back to give customers plenty of space to shop on their own with no offer of assistance. The cashier from our latest visit seemed to only complain the entire time she rang us up, and whined about how much she would rather be at home than at the register. Not pleasing or welcoming, we were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer supporting the company she worked for.
Additionally when seasonal sales go up, signs declaring the sale do not give any specifics as to what seasonal items are actually on sale. It seems the pricing staff seem to expect you to not only guess how much an item costs in the first place, but also expects you to know if it counts as part of the seasonal sale or not. For example, when a sign on every seasonal aisle says "All Holiday Stock 50% off" you would assume that if you grabbed anything christmas themed off these shelves, it would be 50% off. However, if you ask the cashier when they ring some items up you get a lovely "Nah it's not on the sale."
This store could use better communication and price displaying and a more positive attitude from their employees.
In summary: Great Variety, Inconsistent stock/supply, a bit pricey normally but good on-sale prices, negative and unhelpful staff, poor price communication, cannot shop with...
Read moreEverything I went to purchase or did purchase was broken. Went back to get a different item to replace the broken item, and everything was broken on the center displays. For the prices you'd think your managers and employees would do a much better job. I caught everything that was broken at the checkout counter, except for one silver decorative tree. Got home. Ate supper. Opened bags to find a broken base. Looked in the bag to make sure I hadn't broken it, and there wasn't a broken piece in the bag. Therefore, I purchased a broken tree. Called my local store about 8 minutes ago, and of course, now the manager has to pull the tape and blah blah blah to make sure it was broken at the store before purchasing it. Considering the fact, that I've never had an issue with items purchased before at Hobby Lobby, I will never buy from there again. I called. Explained the situation. And now, it's going to be an act of Congress to replace or refund one item out of all that I purchased tonight?...
Read moreVery poor customer service from the customer service manager. I drove an hour and a half to get there, couldn’t find the item that was supposed to be in stock according to their website. Went to the front and ask the CSM if someone could help me look for it and all she could keep repeating was, “we are probably out of it if you can’t find it”. Really??? I ask 3 times if someone could look since I had drove so far, just to be sure and she just turned and walked away to go back to her post where she was doing absolutely nothing. I called cooperate and they said they will let the store manager know that I wanted to file a complaint, so that they could address it with the employee. A lot of good that will do since the employee is the manager. lol. DO BETTER WAYCROSS HOBBY LOBBY! I do a lot of business with yall but I don’t have to,...
