Route Sixty Six Theater — Local services in Webb City

Yes, I am going to rate this one-screen, smallville, good-ole downtown movie theater 5*, as you can't beat the value or friendliness of this family-owned big-screen destination. Concession values are good, parking is on-street but easy to get to. Restrooms are a bit under-sized but well maintained. Lobby is small but smiles are big. The owner intends to expand concessions offerings to warm-food options like cheeseburgers soon to go with their hotdogs, so if you're running late you can grab a bite to eat here along with your popcorn & soda. BUT, the BEST thing I love about this theater is the very fact that it has only ONE screen -- as a family, we don't have to worry about questionable previews, or if the neighbors think we're really off to see an R-rated...

I was so surprised to see the remodel this theater has gotten since the last time I was in! It looks incredible! Excellent work! The theater itself looks much more high-end and professional. Of course the price-point is great too. Staff was friendly and did a good job, picture was solid too. However, I was disappointed by the sound quality. Not sure if it was where we were sitting (we were pretty central), but it sounded tinny and dialogue was much too quiet. I didn't understand a word during the previews. While I will definitely be back for special showings, I can't see it becoming my go-to theater unless the sound is balanced a bit better unfortunately. Saw a great movie, I haven't been to the theater in a few years but I'm happy to see how much they have reinvested into the theater. The screen, the seats and the leg room are all A+ (They're not the reclining seats)

Differently thrilled with the staff getting my ticket quick and easy and helping with anything I needed. They kept everything clean.

They only have one theater room. But i will be choosing this theater over Regal in Joplin.
