Actually the worst meal of my life. Summary: Almost everything tasted pre-made and 80% of everything overcooked. We waited 40 minutes for a table. When we were seated, it was in the middle of a giant room, right next to a party of at least 20, children everywhere. Very loud. After a few minutes, the waitress took our drink/appetizer order. We ordered the lobster dip. Never once was it our waitress that brought the food, always someone who I assume was from the kitchen. Said person brought out the lobster dip and just stood there waiting for us to move the assortment of items they have sitting on the table. The dip was mediocre, the chips were the best part though they were very greasy. We order the chicken fried chicken and the corned beef. The waitress comes back to say they are out of corned beef. So we order the catfish sandwich. The chicken fried chicken was so incredibly dry. It tasted like it was made a week ago and was reheated several times since then. The chicken was actually hard, the knife struggled to cut it 😂 Not to mention the breading was burnt and tasteless. The okra that came with it was slimey (Thankfully I subbed the green beans for said okra because I saw the green beans on another table and all I can say is you don't want the green beans). The roll, what I thought would be the part they couldn't mess up, very strange and also over cooked. Not to mention they didn't bring any of their glorified honey butter with it. When I asked (someone who wasn't our server because she only ever got our drinks) for butter, they brought me a cup of cold, hard butter because they were out of honey butter. At least the mashed potatoes were ok, because it was the only part that couldn't be over cooked. From what I could tell, the catfish was at least edible, though it was two "tenders" of it on a plate with an assortment of sandwich ingredients. I guess they did not want to try and figure out how to assemble that sandwich either 🤷 The fries that came with it were just frozen fries with no seasoning and no sauce. The hush puppies, oh the poor hush puppies. The outside of them actually black, and the inside cooked to high heaven. Yet again, just dry/overcooked. I don't know what the puppies did to deserve such a fate. The stomach pains afterwards were so not worth it. I can't believe that we spent almost $60 on a meal where mediocre mashed potatoes and some chips were the best part. Nothing tasted fresh. Last time we went out, we went to Cheddars (Where we also had the chicken fried chicken and it was soooo much better) spent less money, had an amazing meal with a better atmosphere, wait time, food, server, got drinks, and it was significantly less money. All I can really say is we will never let ourselves, or anybody we plan on keeping around, go to...

Read moreCame in for dinner with my husband after a medical treatment, we were seated promptly, got drinks and ordered promptly, right next to the kitchen... radio in the kitchen was louder than in the dining area, not a huge deal, at least it was country and not vulgar. Okra was cooked well done, which was fine with me. But it all went down hill from there...
We ordered burbon glazed pork chops with a loaded baked potato and side salad and pulled pork with beans and a baked potato.
Potatoes came out luke warm, not even hot enough to melt the butter, and under cooked.
Pulled pork was room temp and very dry.
Manager came over and asked what he could do, he offered to bring us new baked potatoes and fresh pulled pork. He returned with 2 baked potatoes and burnt ends(not pulled pork). He also almost added sour cream to my husband's potato, luckily we caught the waitress and reminded her that it shouldn't be on there.
New potatoes had been microwaved, mine had a finger print in it where it looked like they checked the temp, warmer than the first one but still hard and barely warm enough to soften the frozen butter. My husband had a chunk of frozen butter in the middle of his, but his was hot and cooked.
We waited another 10 minutes for the waitress to return from where she was. In the meantime I am hungry so I ate my cold pulled pork. When the waitress comes back and my husband tells her those are burnt ends not pulled pork, she offered to tell the manager. You could tell she was inexperienced and nervous, we were not angry or stern with her and just told her to please fix it but that I already ate the cold food. To which they brought us more pulled pork. Manager never came back over. She brought us the check and informed us it is only our orginal order, not the burnt ends. At this point im already irritated and ready to leave... so my husband paid without asking to speak to the manager again.
We paid full price for this food. I barely ate anything. My husband said his pork chops were good, but we were highly disappointed in management and the food this time. We have been here multiple times, considering it was NOT busy at all, the food should have been better quality.
Hit or miss maybe? It's never been like this when we...
