New Webb City cafe — Restaurant in Webb City

The food was decent however, in the case of other services such as the restroom, and the general atmosphere of the place was awful, the plating of the food was akin to going to a gas station at 3am and slapping something together from their deli and chowing hastily to forget that you are eating gas station food. Depressing. Other services such as the restroom are the same, the door for the men's room does not close, the dark green paint on the walls is so old I swear it still has lead in it, the wall paper is what you would expect to find in a decrepit house based in the 1940's; the paint is not only old to the point it may be found volatile it is also worn and peeling from the walls uncomfortably. However it may have been forgiven if not for the most egregious of these hazards. Skittering across the floor in the men's room was an insect, a cockroach to be precise. Disgusting. Went to have breakfast for the buffet, if that’s what they want to call it. On the buffet, scrambled eggs, hasbrowns, ham, bacon, sausage links, biscuits and gravy. Had no fruit!! I ate everything listed. Scrambled eggs had shells in it. Links weren’t burnt. Gravy had no flavor and biscuits did not taste fresh, ham had no flavor. I looked in the kitchen, the biscuits were in a big clear container that the kitchen staff would take out to put a microwave, hash browns were in a Walmart bag and from I can predict most of the food was not prepared fresh. The first time we went, foid was great... second time, and today, quality has dropped more each time. On both occasions, food was cold and unseasoned. The gravy for biscuits, and gravy, tasted of raw flour, thick as wall paper paste, which would have tasted better. No salt, or any seasoning on anything, the food was cold, not chill, but ice cold. The hashbrowns were not cooked through, neither was the bacon. It was great to have a good diner across from me; but whatever has changed, has ruined it. Once, is understandable, twice, a real problem. If food is being held at room temperature, it is a serious breach of food safety. I gave two stars because the...
