I would have given them 0 stars if I could have. This place is awful. Took my phone screen (cracked) to get fixed. $149 later it was fixed cool! the guy who I assume was the owner told me it was under warranty as long as it wasn’t cracked...

Fast forward to Two weeks later my entire screen turns black I can hear on it but you cannot see the screen at all. I take my phone in that had previously been fixed two weeks ago and he took it to fix it again since it was under warranty gave me a quote of two hours. Two hours goes by I go back he is not there the girl that was there had no idea the phone was needing to be fixed then proceeds to call said owner and the owner said it was not under warranty because I had dropped it… He assumed that I had dropped it because there was a scratch on the outside of my phone where he had previously fixed it from the drop before… I fought with them for four hours to get a new screen that was #Warranty because it was the LCD screen underneath and not the actual screen itself.

During those 4 hours this owner refused to take the girls calls who called several times avoiding her bc he knew I wasn’t leaving without a new screen. FINALLY another guy who shows up at the store looking for him asks if he was there the girl said no so HE called and the guy answered right away the other guy said he was at the store. Now girl calls back again and now I guess he felt obligated to answer.

The only option he gave me was to let him send my phone off for 2 weeks to whereever and I told him no I need it now.

Fast forward for another hour fight with them I told her “he told me the screen was under warranty as long as it had not been cracked” she said word for word “ya, sometimes he just says what he doesn’t mean” HOW IS THIS RIGHT?!?

Eventually she felt bad enough for me they replaced the screen BUT another month goes by with this new screen and this LCD under is also shorting out.... took it to a new place in the mall which was actually only $100 and she opened up my phone the screws were missing along with the film the screen comes with that was never removed underneath causing my screen to break!

BEWARE...

I take reviews very seriously. I always support local businesses but this place has been the WORST experience ever. I went in with a cracked screen, no other issues. I was given a cash price quote approved by the supervisor including tax. I was upsold a screen protector to for $10 which was fine. When I went to pick up the phone, they tried to overcharge me even though I received a quote. Additionally, screen protector was way to small for my phone and I had to get a refund. I noticed when I was at home that my finger print would not work on my phone. I have never had an issue with this before. I could unlock my phone with the fingerprint but not open apps. I called back and I was told by the supervisor that this is a typical issue for google phones and common knowledge...like I should know! If this was common knowledge in his area of expertise I should have been informed prior to paying $200 for a repair when I could have utilized that money to help cover a new phone! After going back and forth and being talked over several times, he told me to bring in my phone. I brought in my phone and tried re-explaining what the issue was, but I did not feel like he was listening. Day after day I was told it would be next day, or I would get a call in a few hours. I never received anything, I had to call. It was a total of 4 days in the shop for the fingerprint issue. I finally called in on day 4 and was told that the phone unlocks 90% of the time. I told them that its not unlocking the phone, its oddly enough the apps that do not unlock as previously stated. This proved he didn't even listen to me! I complained that I brought in a working phone and I am now leaving with a BROKEN phone. The supervisor told me that my phone was broken when I came in and implied I had this issue before. I attempted to demand a refund but was denied. I was talked down to, and talked over the whole conversation. If you take reviews seriously, BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. All I want is a refund for my phone that worked fine before, and now does not work fine leaving. They are not taking responsibility for BREAKING MY PHONE and REFUSING...

Great experience...I usually don’t write good reviews because I don’t want to recommend a place and then someone go there and not have a good experience......With that said this is the second time I have been here and both times Hannah knocked it out of the park with bases loaded, Grand-Slam, so I am comfortable recommending anyone with a phone problem to take there phone here and you wont have any regrets. The whole experience was exceptional from the moment I walked in the door with a broke iPhone and a frown on my face until I walked out the door with a fixed iPhone with a smile from ear to ear. Place was very neat, organized, and most important appeared and smelled to be clean and sanitized. Both times Hannah assisted me and both times after assessing the damaged phone and prior to making the repairs she went over the repair options with me as well as an estimated cost. Both times the estimate was spot on as well as the price was lower than other places I called after the fact just to confirm the price was as reasonably low as I thought they were. I will tell on myself, prior to coming here I had a coworker that said he could fix/replace my cracked scream and digitizer and I got the phone back from him the screen was no longer cracked but the phone would get stuck at the apple screen when turning it on. I had a friend recommended Tech Authority so I figured I would give them a try and not only were they able to get my phone back up and running, Hannah also caught and fixed my coworkers my mistake of gluing the home button down which over time would have broken it and rendered this iPhone unsalvageable. Bottom line is if you want your phone fixed, fixed right, in a timely manner, at a fair price, with no surprises, in a clean environment, and deal with friendly respectful service techs, then look no further Tech Authority is the place you need to be.
