Let me start by saying, I love Thai food. I went to Thailand specially to go on a food tour because of how much I love it. After seeing all the wonderful reviews about this place I figured it was a safe bet to try it out. Maybe my order was an anomaly but it was the absolute worst Thai food I have ever had. I ordered the Scallop Chuchee lunch special to go along with a Tom Yum soup. The chuchee was inedible, my scallops were so fishy that they overpowered the curry sauce they were in. The rice that came with it was overcooked to the point it was basically mush. The spring roll that came with it had slimy brown lettuce in it and had no taste other than old lettuce. The tiny and I mean tiny salad you get also had old slimy lettuce so I didn't even attempt to eat it but the salad dressing tasted good with a slight tangy sweetness. The only thing I could actually finish from this order was the Tom Yum. It was good with the normal tangy sourness one would expect and a slight lemon grass flavor. I am super disappointed with this experience, more than half of the food I paid for I...
Read moreMy wife and I stumbled into Thai Seafood one afternoon several years back. We took in the unassuming exterior and strip center location, and thought nothing of our shorts and t-shirts. We found a very quaint, lightly polished and very authentic upscale Thai restaurant nestled in Webster. We've returned several times (with nicer attire) because of the excellent service, attention to detail, and wonderful food. This may not be the Thai restaurant for everyone. If you like your food americanized the flavors and spices will be daunting, and the food does not always come quickly, but the staff is unfailingly polite. One example that will highlight our love of this out of the way place: My wife, feeling bold one night, ordered her plate extra spicy. What came out was authentic Thai spice, so much so that she was unable to eat it. When the waiter asked if she enjoyed it, she confessed she couldn't eat it because of the spice. Without batting an eyelash the waiter grabbed her plate and promised to fix it. Minutes later a completely new plate arrived, sans spice, with a...
Read moreThis restaurant is a hidden gem! It is family run and a delightful change from all the corporate commercial restaurants that populate this area of Houston. The food is delicious and absolutely authentic, not the ersatz "Americanized" bland and pale imitations of foreign offerings you will find at the overpriced glitzy places nearby. Speaking of prices, we were surprised at how inexpensive the dinners were. We asked Victor, the propretor, about how he does it and he said his advertising costs are low because he relies on word of mouth recommendations from his cusomers instead of flashy tv or newspaper ads. Don't be fooled by the modest surroundings of the strip mall where this restaurant is located. When you enter you will find youself in simple but elegant and immaculate surroundings with full table settings, welcomed by your gracious hosts. Do yourself a favor and give Thai Seafood a try, and enjoy learning how delicious and satisfying authentic Thai...
