Was super excited to meet my friend for a pre-Christmas breakfast at this restaurant on Monday 12/23. We both enjoy Mexican food and we’re happy to be having that for a meal as she had previously been to this restaurant years ago, and she had remembered it fondly. I was happy to see that they had the nativity scene under the Christmas tree when I arrived But that was one of the only two positives of the entire morning. No one greeted me as I arrived, so I went ahead and found my friend where she sat. She had gotten her drink already and I waited quite some time before someone came and asked me if I wanted something to drink. I told him water with lemon and then it was a few more minutes and a lady came to the table and asked me if I wanted something to drink again ordered water with lemon And it was a few more minutes several before what we assumed was our server came and brought the water. We knew what we wanted and she ordered the huevo rancheros with a side of bacon while I ordered the huevos con papas with bacon. The salsa and the chips were very good.. but when our breakfast arrived, I noticed that her salsa was missing and our bacon was entirely burnt. I’m not talking crispy here cause we both enjoy crispy bacon, but literally stuck together burnt to a crisp where it was no longer flavored like bacon as much as it was burnt. When the server brought her salsa, it literally tasted like tomato soup. It wasn’t salsa at all… she and I traded the bacon because hers was a little bit more flavorful and she put hers aside which I felt bad for.. but even in order to enjoy the bacon, I had to put it in a tortilla with the eggs and potatoes.. The potatoes were not very flavorful either So I went ahead and mixed the refried beans onto the tortilla as well just so there was some moisture. Also the service was not good and they rarely checked on us.. when the server finally came to let us pay he had a hand held device and watched us as we paid instead of walking away or turning away at that we could leave our meager tips.. It was uncomfortable and she and I had to hold the device away from him to handle our payments.. We were both so disappointed in our meal and service! we will never eat there again and you’ve been warned. I’ve attached photos...
Read moreI want to say thank you to Daniel Rivera and Salvador Mejia owners of this awesome authentic Mexican restaurant. Had it not been for my friend Mike T McGee I would’ve never know of this jewel. First off it is almost hidden off of SH 3 and Nassau RD 1. It is in a small strip center. Now for the service I was immediately attended to with chips and an amazing green hot sauce that reminded me of my Grandmothers as well as another hot sauce that had some heat, cilantro, and all kinds of flavor. They were so good I ordered some to go. Both hot sauces will be great with all kinds of dishes. I ordered some homemade lemonade and it was great in a 32 ounce glass. I then ordered some beef enchiladas beef crispy taco and a beef chalupa. It took no time for me to get my incredibly amazing food. Be careful cuss the plate comes to you HOT. From the first sight I knew I was going home with food. The pictures do not do it just. I am a big eater and I couldn’t finish it all. The flavors were incredible and so tasteful. Every bit woke up my taste buds asking for more. I was continuously checked on by my waitress and Daniel. They are certainly all about customer satisfaction. It was real busy in there but they made sure everyone was being attended to. I was so full that I had to ask for containers to take home leftovers. I advised Daniel this was my first time and he insisted I try their churros. OMG they arrived good and hot with whip cream. They too were amazing. Please enjoy the pictures and stop by and see my new go to restaurant. They have been here for the last 8 years. They have another location in Deer Park for the last 3 years. They also have a new location called 2 ways Draught and Kitchen in Friendswood TX. I could go on forever praising them for the amount of food, taste, and customer service. Do yourself a favor and try it out you won’t be disappointed. They also have a bar for your adult drinks next time I will have a designated driver and have me a drink.
Muchos Gracias...
Read moreListen, everyone, and listen CLOSELY. This restaurant is where it’s at! I am 4 months pregnant and woke up with the meanest craving for menudo and Mexican breakfast food I’ve ever had in my life. I searched all over, but it was extremely hard to find authentic Mexican food in the Webster/league city area. This place here? They sell menudo ALL WEEK, not only weekends. It was a dream come true! I got home with my food (I had a to go order), and I almost cried. I grew up eating this food, and for the first time in a LONG time, I felt home. The menudo was filled to the brim in my container, it was hot and EXTREMELY fresh. You could tell just by the first taste. They packed me fresh limes, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and freshly made flour tortillas (they have corn tortillas as an option, too, of course). I am holding myself back from going back and hugging every staff member in that restaurant. I’m not even finished yet! I also ordered eggs, potatoes, and bacon (all cooked together of course) with a side of refried beans. I opened up that box and knew before the first bite that it was going to be good. The bacon was thick and flavorful, the potatoes were PERFECTLY cooked, and the eggs were fluffy and perfect as well. The refried beans are REALLLY good and had the perfect amount of salt and flavor to compliment the rest of the meal. I was handed my food and told “I’ll see you tomorrow.”. I understand why now. If I had the money, I’d be there every day for the rest of my life. PLEASE, support this local business. They are kind, funny, and honest. The restaurant is also EXTREMELY clean and has really great air conditioning in this Texas heat. What are you...
