Avora by Landsea Homes — Local services in Weehawken

It is very unfortunate that it has come to writing a 1 start review for this building. This is a beautiful building and my Fiance and I truly enjoy living here. However, a primary reason we moved here is due to the amenities and ease of access to the city. Since moving into Avora in June, the amenities have been closed due to COVID, which is understandable. However, on August 27th Gov. Murphy signed executive order 181 which allowed gyms to re-open with restrictions. Although several residential buildings throughout Hoboken + Weehawken have re-opened their gyms + other amenities, Avora has yet to. In speaking with the General Manager, it appears the board of directors care more about the cost associated with cleaning the HVAC and hiring an individual to do temperature checks/ clean then opening the amenities that the residents pay for. There are several cleaning crew throughout the day that stand around the hallways and clean the same wall/ floor for multiple hours straight. If they can be re-allocated to assist with the gym that would be smart. It is now 9/24 and there has been no communication to the residents around re-opening of the gym/media room. Speaking with Management in the building does not seem to work as it all sits with the "Board of Directors" who can't seem to read through an 8 page executive order signed over a month ago. I would expect a building with such stature, that has a board of directors and legal representatives on call, to have spent the several months in quarantine preparing for and fleshing out the appropriate health and safety protocols needed to open the gym safely. Very unfortunate and disappointing...

Horrible experience! I regret buying a condo here! Trying to move out of here. Management is useless. No response to emails. Everything is broken in the apartment. No willingness to fix things. Charge an HOA fee but no access to the building amenities. Not helpful if you bring a contractor to fix things yourself. They send everyone away including visitors....

Terrible management!! Very rude and do not try to make tenants/owners happy. They are never here on the weekends and leave broken things the way they are. They never fix anything. They do not care about this place. Bad place for living...
