The best alternative to get in to Manhattan. If you don’t want to drive, take an Uber, bus or subway. This is the way to go. Expensive, however, you get a very punctual service (boats are no more than 30 seconds late - if that, and leave on the dot) make sure you download the mobile app to check schedules, buy tickets etc. Makes life much easier. Boats are clean and safe. Also, The best view of the city in my opinion. Boats are fast, and did I already say punctual. Ferry runs to midtown and Brookfield Place. There is plenty of parking on the NJ side in the multiple parking garages, also bus and light rail transfers available to the terminal. 10/10

We stayed at a hotel near here in New Jersey, with the intention of taking the ferry to and from Manhattan. At the time of our visit, during the summer, children traveled for free. Entrance to Manhattan is $10 per person. Driving to Manhattan is very congested and takes a long time. But from this place we went by boat quickly without any delay.

Awesome option to get to NY without driving into the city. The parking right across the street is just $22 a day and the ferry to midtowm/39th street is $9. That's a great deal compared to parking near the hotel for $50 a night. The ferry ride was no more than 5 minutes!

I have been taking the ferry to Manhattan for over 20 years. It truly is a civilized commute. Definately worth paying a little extra to go into NYC this way. My only complaint is that the bathrooms often dont have toilet paper or paper towells (moreso on the NY side). Also, the ferry bus to Blvd. East takes a lot longer to get home with only 2 busses (I miss having 3 on this route so much) I often walk home as a result and call...
