I first came to this restaurant probably about 15 years ago when it wasn’t expanded like it is now (yes it used to be half of what it is now with maybe 8 tables) but the food was AMAZING! my family and I would drive all the way from NY to eat there, after they opened up their seafood restaurant, the food quality in the parrillada restaurant went down. They hired people as waiters/waitresses who were trained in peruvian cuisine...ex: I once asked for more “canchita” they didn’t know what that was...during our most resent visit we asked for the caldo de gallina to not have “cebolla china” and the waitress said “the what”.... now I think if they are from another country they should be well trained in peruvian cuisine, my husband ordered their bistek empanisado with fries and maduros, and the maduros were raw. For someone that has been a costumer when they had half the room, when they had the owner in the cashier and 2 waiters to what it is now, it’s disappointing. To me, they offered better food and service in their beginning. With that said, I wish the business nothing but the best, but I will take my money and...
Read moreI came to celebrate Peruvian Independence Day along with my fiancé who is crazy about ceviche and isn’t Peruvian. I ordered some anticuchos which were by far one of the best I have tasted and are close to the taste back home. The reason why they are not getting neither 4 or 5 is because we found a piece of plastic in the “leche de Tigre” of my fiancé’s ceviche. The ceviche taste good but ever since he kept on checking to see if there was any more on it. When we told one of the servers they picked up the plate where we placed the plastic and were told they will tell the cool to be more careful. Another waiter checked on us and I brought the issue again and she asked nothing and left. We weren’t given any other option. I’m scared that such plastic represented a cross contamination on his food and no one did anything but say they will be more careful next time.
Their service is somehow slow and now we have finished our food for over 15 min and no one hast checked on us or ask if we need...
Read moreThis place used to be really good years ago...but is going downhill.; today I order and medium Parrillada TO GO that included Churrasco when I came home I noticed 2 pieces of meat but no Churrasco .I called the place and asked why they substituted they told me that was Churrasco. The piece of steak they used is the cheapest cut of meat you can buy In the supermarket for these guys to tell people and advertise that it has Churrasco when it just a cheap steak it takes a lot of nerves. Also the $50.00 you pay now for a medium Parrillada is now 30% less of the portions before, they left out the pork chops and chorizo and even potatoes. The meat was hard and tasteless the chicken was ok the salad was lettuce 1 piece of beet and maybe 10 pieces of corns. This used to be a fine place a few years back but now due to mediocrity and cheapness probably due to new managers ; for the kind of money you going to spend in this place you will get a lot more going to another and better...
