Unfortunately we had the pleasure to deal with a RETURNS employee called WENDY she was arrogant and upset over a return we were trying to deal with. When I spoke to her she would barely let me speak, and the second time I called and asked for the manager she huffed and puffed like she was very upset. They need to answer the phones, get more employees if there is too much going on. But mostly my bad experience was her attitude towards a customer that in no way mistreated her for her to act in such a way. Perhaps she needs some retraining?
I have been a loyal Home Depot customer for years and this is the first time we felt like we were treated very poorly by this employee and perhaps by the people around them. If we were in the wrong it was because we were told something by Home Depot Online and then Home Depot store said it was not true, who do I believe? I have proof of different reps telling me to go to the store, I didn't make it up.
At the end the issue was resolved by a manager but I was still told I was wrong, literally didn't care me saying that I had been sent by Home depot online, if Home depot online (were I purchased the item) had told me you can't do this, then ok I would not have gone to the store and wasted my time! When I talked to them initially about warranty they told me that I had 5 years with the manufacturer and I could also return in store. So if they want to be upset at someone be upset at Home Depot Online!
By the way I only spoke to the manager once, so its not like I was screaming in his face demanding the return be done.

Read moreI was replacing the shingles of my roof . When I bought the shingles when given the quote wrong style was given . Was not asked which option of shingles in the Brownwood color of Owen Corning . I was told one was 25 years warranty and the other 9 years warranty by the employee so when the roofer person went to get the quote for material he stated 25 years . The day of it being replaced it’s the wrong shingles I was told no such thing as 9 that the difference between the brown wood color was one was 25 years and the other 30 yrs well that’s not the case they are both 25 years but diffrent style and the wrong style was then given to me to where I had to proceed with the other batch of employees where then I was told they would go rewrap on Saturday or Sunday to be picked up on Monday . The csr looked me in the eye told me they will be picking up the merchandise . Where it was not the case Monday comes they come to wrap it and then they say someone will call me for pick up date . Mind you I had called that morning to confirm pick up . Spoke with a rep , she cut me off and started telling me I had to call another number. I said that’s not what I was told asked for manager was hung up on . I called before going to make sure that I could rent a carpent shampoo machine. I was told by the employee yes but that they closed in 20 minutes. I got there in 15. I asked an associate where to go and he walked me over but said that they were already closed since the rolling door was down. I asked what time they close because it was before 6pm. He said at 6 and I mentioned that it wasn’t 6 yet. He called to the team member inside that they had a customer and started laughing. The employee behind the rolling door said they were already closed. I told him it wasn’t 6 yet. He walked over to another register and then said he was showing a few minutes after 6. I told him that was incorrect since I too was looking at a clock and that I would just speak with management. I’ve been in management a long time, and this is unacceptable behavior of a team member. We spent over $300 just on cleaning supplies at this location and had to go elsewhere because this team member decided he wanted to leave and closed early.
