The Asian Buffet is a great place to eat at. Publix is the only place I like to shop at for groceries. Their deli is great, some of the best sub sandwiches money can buy. If you are like me and Walmart leaves you with a feeling of dread everytime you need to pick up sometime from there, then Publix might just be your solution. They are always clean, well stocked, and the prices are close if not the same. Walmart loves to package cereal in large front but thin boxes, selling 14.6 oz. When you look at other places like Publix, the boxes fronts are the same size but thicker holding 16 oz... So yes the price looks cheaper at Walmart, but oz for oz... The prices are the same... Just one example of a million reasons I prefer to shop Publix, vs Walmart... The other, Publix opens more check out lanes when the store gets busy. Managers and people stocking shelves come up to open lanes. Never see that happen at Walmart. I have about a 5 minute wait max at Publix, good luck getting through the one or two lanes that are open at Walmart in less then 20 or 30 minutes, when...
Read moreWe went to the Asian Buffet located in the shopping center. Plenty of parking available even in prime times. The buffet has a very wide variety of food selections typical of a Chinese restaurant. For dinner, all you can eat crab legs are our favorite. The restaurant also has a large Sushi bar and a Hibachi grill with a ton of raw food selections for a truly hot meal. There is also a large salad bar, pastries and ice cream selections to enjoy. We have gone there during peak periods (7 PM) with 14 people and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for seating. The wait staff are always very prompt, friendly and provide very good service, restrooms are clean and we'll serviced as is the general cleanliness of the entire restaurant. If you are a first time visitor, you will not be...
Read moreI usually love Publix. I am never disappointed with their quality or selection. However, today, I was. Grapes were on sale, and they looked great. I sampled one off the top and the fla or was outstanding, I grabbed a large bag that turned out to be over 3 pounds of grapes. I hadn't eaten all day, so I rinsed them off (a challenge on its own when in a car) and started munching. I discovered that only the top layer of grapes was fresh and crisp. The other 2 and a half pounds were small and slightly mushy, like old grapes. Soooo disappointing. I don't expect that from Publix, and I will think twice before purchasing produce there again. If I wasn't already halfway home I would have...
