This review is being written to reflect poor customer service on one room order of multiple room orders that will be defined in the body of this review and a understanding that Rooms to Go knowingly deceived me (the consumer) with a product (room) that was able to be bought in a specific color at the time of my visit on 4/21/2025 but never intended to be delivered in that color. To start with the orders (rooms) that were purchased with good/acceptable outcomes. 1. 4/19/2025 we purchased a master bedroom suite set that was a floor model order# 3539 for $2,214.90 (tax included) (no delivery). We are happy with this set. 1A. 4/19/2025 we purchased an additional end table for the floor model master bedroom suite set order# 3538 for $427.99 (tax included) (no charge for delivery). We are happy with this piece. 2.4/21/2025 we purchased a bedroom set and living room sectional set order# 4594 for $4012.46 (tax included) (delivery/set-up of $459.96) 2A. The bedroom set we are happy with, we ordered two additional end tables for this room via roomstogo.com. Estimated cost of $800+- 2B. The sectional set we are happy with Problem purchase: 4/21/2025 we purchased another bedroom set (Hilton Head style) in mint green order# 4595 at the same time as purchase 2 above. This room was not readily available so we were told it would be available at the end of May. We do not live in Florida full time and were told to call the store in Wesley Chapel a week before we arrive in June to move the delivery date from 6/9 to a specific day the week before. I followed the instruction given to me by one of the stores assistant managers who entered in order 2 & 3. I made the call shortly after Memorial Day to schedule the delivery and was told the delivery could not be moved. This caused me to stay an additional 2 days in Florida costing me a significant amount of money lost due to missing 2 extra days of work. Once the delivery showed up on 6/9 and the room was set up, we identified that the color sent was blue not mint and SKU numbers did not match. We called the store in Wesley Chapel and talked with a young lady who said they had to look into it. I decided to drive to the store to talk with a manager. I spoke with an assistant manager who stated and I quote” they don’t make the mint anymore, so Rooms to Go substituted blue”. I did not purchase blue as my paperwork clearly states mint. a feeling of bewilderment set in as I thought does Rooms to Go think I’m an idiot an would not notice the difference between blue and mint green? Deceived into buying something that was not available. The assistant manager had the delivery crew come back and remove the incorrect color bedroom set the same day as I requested and provided a refund. If this info was conveyed to me prior to receiving the incorrect items, I would not have to stay in Florida longer and would have canceled the order. The delivery and set up that was refunded was $10 per that order number. As 3 rooms was originally ordered at the same time and a total delivery/set up was charged of $469.96, to receive only $10 back for delivery/set up is unacceptable. I would divide the delivery/set up by 3 ($156.65) would be an acceptable refund. I hope the corporate officers of Rooms to Go sees this review and are willing to reach out to me to discuss...
Read moreI bought a set of sofas from Rooms to Go at the end of last year, and one of them has had issues reclining properly since early on. I reported it, and they sent a technician to inspect it. Of course, the technician claimed everything was fine.
After reading other customer reviews, I now realize this seems to be a common pattern with Rooms to Go, they send technicians who always say the furniture is “working properly” just to avoid replacing anything. This is very disappointing.
To make things worse, the women I spoke to in Customer Service were extremely unprofessional. They spoke in a rude and personal manner, as if they were taking things personally instead of helping solve the issue. They did not communicate clearly and acted as if they had no proper training in how to handle customer concerns. That kind of treatment is unacceptable.
I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but this experience has changed everything. Even after speaking with a manager, who did try to help, he told me that he couldn’t do anything because Customer Service had already closed the case.
Honestly, I feel deeply let down by Rooms to Go. You all need to take responsibility. These technicians know when something is wrong, yet they report otherwise, and you continue doing nothing. That’s unacceptable.
I feel affected and frustrated by this whole experience, and I will never buy from Rooms...
Read moreThe salesman at the store Jeff sold us a recliner sectional that would not configure to where the chairs would open so when it was delivered on May 2nd we rejected the wedge and sent it back with the drivers. they were nice enough to let us exchange the furniture the following day and I was told by Jeff and the store manager Alan that I would have my refund for the wedge, over $700 on May 5th. Since then I'm still fighting with the store to get my refund. I have called the store several times, I always get an excuse.. they have to make a fake invoice or I had to email corporate. Janelle tells me she's going to call me back she never does. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and then Annette from corporate says "oh we issued the refund" lies as they never did so I filed a chargeback with my credit company. they won't approve that even though they told the better Business bureau it was closed with the charge back. However, until they approve the charge back I still can't get my money back. I have never had this item in my house and for some reason I cannot get my refund.. so be very careful if you purchase something from this place and it doesn't work out you may not get your refund. Next is small claims court and they will be paying the court fees as I never...
