First I would like to say that their website is wonderfully done. They have a lot of helpful information and we didnāt have many questions besides being interested in one of the puppies. My mother was emailing āTerriā about the puppy and was told she was still available and that it was hard finding this particular puppy a home because of her size. We would be traveling almost two hours to meet this puppy and potentially adopt her. So we make the trip and go inside where we see the puppy we were so interested in! Immediately the āmanagerā said that someone was traveling over an hour away to come get her and that she is on hold. My mother said yeah thatās me, I have been in contact with Terri about the puppy. Apparently this āmanagerā was talking about another woman who was traveling to see her and āwas certain she was going to adopt herā. The āmanagerā said that Terri would have told her if someone was coming in to see a dog but that she had not. My mother said that she could show her the emails and how she has been in contact for over a week prior to us coming up there. This āmanagerā was walking away and saying that she is the manager and she would have been informed of someone wanting to put a hold on the dog. Now I read another review that said you have to physically come into the facility to put a deposit/hold down on a dog and I highly doubt this woman who was coming in, came in prior to put a hold on the dog. My mother was visibly upset as you could tell she so dearly wanted this puppy, she walked out crying. We were also told that you cannot bring in your dog for a meet and greet but in the email it states that they are very welcome to! So we wait for the woman who is coming to see the puppy and once the family got there the man asked if she had restrooms. The āmanagerā stated she did but wasnāt allowing anyone to use them because of this virus. He walked out and she said āhe is a grown adult he should be able to hold his peeā, mind you there were other people in this facility and I heard her clear as day across the room. I thought that was very rude. She also answered the phone multiple times as it was ringing nonstop but when my mom called all this week it just rang and rang. I also heard her making comments when answering peopleās questions about my mom and saying she didnāt want to make anyone else mad today. Again, I thought this was rude as well. The facility says the people match these puppies to potential adopters and I think she was more interested in selling puppies and getting the money than she was matching them. These potential adopters barely interacted with this puppy, the husband most definitely didnāt give her a second look. I overheard the son say he didnāt want to be there. Clearly the woman who came to see her was so back and forth about the dog and couldnāt make up her mind as she kept leaving and coming back so unsure what to do before her husband said just get the dog if you want it, while they were outside. I talked with the potential adopters outside and the woman said she just wants a dog that will stay small. The āmanagerā was so busy trying to shove puppies down the throats of the other people that she clearly didnāt match this puppy very well. On top of all of that this so called manager told my mother she was mean. We brought our dog and traveled two hours to adopt this puppy that we were under the impression no one was interested in or even have a hold on. This was the worst experience we have ever had. To add, this place was an empty room with folding tables lining the walls of the place with wire cages on top. I would compare it to a garage sale of puppies. The āmanagerā said that the woman could meet the parents of the puppy but they are more than two hours away. Overall Iām pretty sure this whole facility is a scam to get you into the facility to be told you canāt have the puppy you want but in hopes that you will buy a different one while youāre there. When you know in your gut that something isnāt right, itās best to leave. Which is exactly what we did....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have worked in sales and customer service for over 8 years after getting my degree, so I am eminently aware of when someone is selling to me as well as their customer service skills. Before even coming in, I called Sandy and we talked for almost an hour on the phone. I was apprehensive, since this would be my first pet, and inundated her with questions. she took her time and listened to me, and her warm personality emanated over the phone. I told her I would come in and when I did, I was met with the same warmth and loving demeanor in person. From my experience, this is a woman who doesn't see race. What she sees is energy, and whether you exude the right energy for the dog you desire. She has a real knack for it; her assessment of me is what all the patients I work with tell me I exude-a calm loving energy well suited for puppy I fell in love with. I watched her run around the store while still keeping attentive to me; people don' t seem to comprehend that because a dog cannot speak, she strives to speak for them and be their personal advocate. She's small but strong and resolute in what she believes in; I watched her interactions with several people and she gauges your energy, your work hours, and you schedule to determine if a dog you like is the right fit for you. Throwing out race as a factor is a serious accusation, and i can say with resolute certainty that was not what mine or my best friend, who also happens to be black, experienced. When she came in to see the dog with me on my second visit, she also spoke to Sandy's warmth and overall integrity. My friend is more methodically observant than me, and told me she picked up on the fact that each dog's bowl was clean, and that my dog in particular was well groomed, happy and well cared for. My baby boy had dribble running down his nose that concerned me; when I brought it to her attention, she did not mitigate it or try to pretend it wasn't there, instead she appraised it and suggested that i should keep Chewy there with her. It was my intention to take him home that very day. Let's think about this for a moment-how many people do you know would pass up an almost 2000 dollar sale to do what is in the best interest of their puppies? My best friend and I were beyond impressed. Then the cherry on top is I received a call from her today telling me she believes Chewy is indeed a little sick, and she and Terri would like to keep him and nurture him back to health at no cost to me.Don't let the few negative reviews stop you from coming in. This is a stand up phenomenal woman who deserves all the praise...

Around 2-3 years ago I was broken hearted from losing my soul dog and best friend of 13 years of my life. I wasnāt doing too well and my mom encouraged to get another dog.
After going to several places including shelters and not resonating with anything, I walked into preppy pups with my mom wanting me to look at a particular puppy. I decided to ask the man working thereās opinion what would be the right puppy for me, curious and he pointed to sunny, the biggest puppy out of the small dogs, a cockapoo, and a boy dog.
I felt surprised as Iāve never had a boy dog or was drawn to cockapoos as a breed! It only took for us sitting in the play pen for history to happen. Sunny would never leave my side, coming back every 5 seconds to give me kisses or play with toys on my lap. I knew he was the perfect baby for me and we have been together ever since he was officially adopted š
Itās only been pure and secure love between us, Sunny being my cute buddy where ever I go, cuddle companion, entertainer, body guard from door bells(he tries but heās not tough š¤£), and a ball of love that makes others happy!!
Sunny is beyond spoiled, with me always buying/sewing him comfy clothes and having his own little hook rack, his mini closet š¤£. I must tell him how much I love him at least 10-25 times a day and not a day goes by that Iām ungrateful for him. Thank you for my beautiful baby, little son, and cute little rainbow dog!! I hope Preppy Pups knows how loved he is š.
