During a recent business trip, I had the pleasure of visiting the newly opened Orangetheory Fitness studio in West Caldwell, New Jersey. Despite not being a regular member, my experience was incredibly positive, making it a highlight of my trip.

The studio itself is a testament to thoughtful design, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. It's a beautiful space that instantly makes you feel energized and ready to tackle your workout with gusto.

What truly sets this location apart, however, is the staff. Every individual I encountered was welcoming and professional, showing a genuine interest in helping visitors and members alike reach their fitness goals. The studio manager, Katelyn, was particularly noteworthy for her exceptional hospitality. She was not only extremely welcoming but also incredibly helpful, offering guidance and support that made my visit both enjoyable and productive.

They manage to push you to your limits in the most encouraging way, making even the toughest workouts feel rewarding. To preface, before joining Orange Theory, I always felt extremely intimidated by group fitness classes and by lifting any sort of weight (I am a fairly small 33-year-old female). I had been going to the gym for years but always stuck to the Cardio sections – I’d run a bunch of miles and call it a day. I had no confidence in my ability to lift weights – and no knowledge of where to even start. Orange Theory has been a life-changing and eye-opening experience for me. This is a VERY warm, positive, welcoming place – everyone is quick to smile at you and make you feel like you were meant to be there. The coaches I work with most often are Nicole and Mike – and they are exceptional (not only as coaches but as people). They are super dynamic, knowledgeable, kind, encouraging, and FUN. I no longer fear “fitting in” or my gaps in fitness knowledge – because they are there to encourage me and educate me. OTF West Caldwell is a one stop shop for all your fitness needs. Coaches and staff are always upbeat and energetic when you walk in.They truly make you feel comfortable about being there no matter your skill level. All the staff here are human and don’t make you feel like a number or a sale. It’s a OTF family. The communal feel is evident here. Every coach here participates in OTF classes so they coach from experience during your class, not just reading from a script. This studio is always organized and cleanliness is huge here which is hard to come by. Every coach makes sure to explain the workout template and help you understand the science behind this style of training. There is no guesswork and it can be tailored to your needs.
