Our family loves Indian cuisine . We found Indian Fusion within the last year. Each of our visits consisted of unorganized delivery of our meals from time spent waiting to have our orders taken to receiving our drinks and meals. So many of our visits we had to wait 10 minutes plus on drinks even with only 1-2 other parties in the restaurant while we were there. We would frequent Indian Fusion a couple times a month . We never once complained until today . Again very unorganized approach from the start . We were seated right away and given menus . 5-7 minutes later a server came to take our drink orders. We ordered 1coke and an ice tea. The server went to get our drinks . The coke and ice tea came out within 5 minutes . My ice tea was like water , very weak no tea flavor at all . My son left the table and went to ask for another tea based on my dissatisfaction. Approximately 22 minutes later after receiving our meals and half way through it the second tea was brought. I said I don’t want it now . I am half way done with my meal. The server said it takes time to make sorry. I said again I don’t want it and it looks no stronger than the first one and I have been waiting an excessive time. She kept trying to give excuses. I finally said I don’t want it and I do not accept your excuses. Our meal came out in stages. We got the main courses . 3 minutes later the rice . 5 more minutes for the bread but not my husband’s onion nan. He was halfway through his meal and it finally came out. Theirs restaurant has always been operated by young adults on ALL of our visits. Who’s overseeing the day to day operations and customer satisfaction! None of them! We won’t be back !You can do better but we are not willing to wait for that .The wait time and fine dining and not serving items within a timely manor are not going to be tolerated by most whenever they stop and think how their last meal there was . Also my husband I didn’t say anything about our entrees today but his curry lamb sauce was not normal today and my curry chicken was not the normal white chicken chunks . Good luck with your young adults that definitely need to go to serving school and serve meals within a nice relaxing time based manor. You had a great thing possibly earlier into your opening but you need to advocate more for the customers that love your food and keep you in business . Our family prides ourselves with being fortunate to dine anywhere as often as we want but unfortunately we will not be back to see you ! Good luck and maybe this bit of advice will be read by the owners and things...
Read moreEaten food from here 6 times (dined in twice, order delivery 4 times). My husband has enjoyed his food 5/6 times but I unfortunately can’t say the same thing! I’ve tried something different every time, but have only loved 1/6 dishes (and I genuinely love Indian food!). By far the worst I had here was saag paneer, the best was kadhai ginger chicken. My husband likes really spicy food, while I prefer a 2-3/6 so maybe they are just better at the spicy dishes?
The service I’ve received here is even worse than the food. On my most recent visit, it was just so slow. We ordered 10 minutes after arriving then didn’t get our food for 50 minutes after that, with no updates or apologies for the delay. No one came back to check on us/our food or bring us our check. We had to track someone down at the bar in order to eventually pay. We watched other tables receive even worse neglect.
The only other time we dined in here, maybe 6 months ago, the server was incredibly rude. First, I ordered chicken tikka saag and he said he was relieved I didn’t order chicken tikka masala like all other Americans. He then complimented my husband’s order because “white people don’t usually order that” then was delighted to find out my husband is British and said “that’s why you like better dishes!” Every time he came to our table, he spoke to my husband and not me. He also tried multiple times to engage my husband in conversations about US and British politics, which was uncomfortable.
We decided to “never” go back after the first time, but because I was craving Indian food and it’s the only option between our home and a friend’s, we decided to give it one more try. We...
Read moreMy benchmark for Indian Food are the restaurants in Columbus, OH. Even New York doesn’t compare. With that said....
This is my first time here and I was a skeptic because Fusion was in the name, so I started out basic with the chicken curry, heat level 2. SO GOOD!!! My mom said it was spicy, but it was mild to me. Note, I also like spicy food so my tastebuds are probably numb lol!! Could have gone for the level 3. Next time.
Aloo Nan, I can’t stop eating it. It was SO satisfying. Delicious. Warm. I’m hiding the rest in the freezer until tomorrow.
Samosas are good, they could use some more heat and spices in the potatoes, but they were delicious. I ate the whole thing.
The restaurant is very nice, white table, cloth bar. Very fancy.
It’s refeshing to have a restaurant in the neighborhood that deviates from all these gross fast food joints. I’ll be back to try something else soon. It’s been years since I’ve had some good Indian food and I have been fulfilled. Thanks!!
12/31/20 Update: I ate that second samosa for breakfast. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still would like to taste more fennel and other herbs/spice in there, but it was sooooooo good...
