Charmed Lashe Studio 606 — Local services in West Chicago Township

I bought a Groupon for this place (a $15 savings) and it has been impossible to use. The first time I scheduled an appointment, they sent me an email confirming an appointment time two hours later than what I requested, which didn't work for me. I tried responding to the email twice to say I couldn't make it and it came back undelivered both times. Eventually I had to call and whomever answered the phone (a man) was nice. I scheduled another appointment with Mika and it was declined. Then another and this time I received two emails confirming, and then a third email saying Mika denied the appointment again. Every time I have made an appointment, I've received an email asking for a $30 booking fee to keep the appointment (even though I mentioned I was using a Groupon), which would make the appointment actually more expensive with the Groupon. This place isn't really worth the frustration and has been a waste of time and money for me. I also now see they argue with customers online which is just normally a reg flag, really; I wish I would have seen that before I purchased. I also think they treat customers differently if they are using a Groupon? No one is forcing this business to participate in them, right? Called to make an appointment with a nice guy who answered the phone. I informed him that I did not have the cash to put down the 30 dollar deposit on my debit but I did have cash. He said that he can make my appointment but if someone who put down a deposit at the same time I was booked my slot would be bumped and I understood that . The problem was when the owner called me a day before my appointment to tell me I had to put down a deposit forcefully. She was very rude and disrespectful to me so I politely said I’m out of town and could not make it just to get out of spending my hard owned money and to stop her from being more disrespectful to me. I felt scared and intimidated because I didn’t have money on my debit card to make a deposit. I would have never made appointment if I was not going to be there. I originally head an appointment booked for their Oak Park location for Monday afternoon. I received a call and Saturday confirming my upcoming appointment in they asked me if I can go to their wicker park location because they didn't have anyone there. Even though the Oak Park location is 5 minutes away I said fine.
