Bead In Hand — Local services in Oak Park

As a total newbie to beads, I printed off what I needed from an online tutorial and brought it in- having NO idea about sizes and weights or that there is such a thing as a beading needle! The staff person was SOOO helpful, even though there were several of us needing help there, she very cordially split her time- left me to browse as I wanted but was always available if I needed help. And the other shoppers were creative and inclusive- asking each other's (including mine!) opinion about beads and settings and whatnots. One of my guilty pleasures is to spend a bunch on beads I do not necessarily have an immediate use for at Bead in Hand. Bead in Hand is located on Harrison, also known as the Oak Park Art District. It is a little gem of a store that’s chockfull with beading supplies, beads, books, everything you need to feed a serious addiction.
