Beautiful interiors reflecting Thai culture; great restaurant for a date night or a celebration. Table settings accommodate 2-4 people in a clean, well-lit dining area. Ample street parking available right out front. No reservations needed. Service was courteous, respectful and attentive. The manager/owner(?) checked on all the diners to see how everything tasted. My Summer Rolls were very fresh and crunchy and came with a satay dipping sauce with crushed peanuts. Yum! Highly recommended if you like Spring Rolls generally but want to try something new. I ordered the traditional chicken pad Thai, which came in a generous heaping portion, hot and fresh. Overall it was very good, from the texture of the soft noodles to the fresh crunch of the bean sprouts and carrots. Everything was portioned just right from the amount of chicken to the fried egg as well. Classic Thai comfort dish! I had to take half to go because I was so stuffed. My server was extremely polite and professional as he zipped around carefully from the kitchen to other diners which is a rarity when dining out. I also enjoyed the traditional Thai taro custard as I like to see how it is made by different Thai restaurants. The taro custard itself turned out to be a perfect size for me, sitting on top of a mini patty-cake mound of green-tinted sticky rice. The flavor was as expected and delicately sweet. A petite pouf of whipped cream and a sprinkling of toasted coconut finished off the top while a small puddle of coconut cream on the bottom added the expected -and always enjoyed- extra sweetness to the overall dessert. Well-deserved compliments were heard about the food from another table and it made me chuckle. I could tell others enjoyed themselves. The only distraction in my opinion was the music playing overhead. Instead of the "Top 100 pop songs" maybe if they played more traditional Thai instrumental music it would have enhanced the atmosphere (?) or not- I'm not sure- or even a more eclectic mix of ambient tunes would better suit or elevate this elegant, understated and beautiful little...
Read moreIN RESPONSE TO THE BUG SITUATION BELOW. For some reason google reviews won’t let me respond to you @Bodhi Thai Owner. However, I don’t understand why I would need a verified account to share my experience. These are just my personal email accounts. I’m not a food critic just a regular patron who decided to order Bohdi thai. I ordered carry out from you last night and it came sealed and stapled from your store. The likelihood of a stinkbug or whatever kind of bug you’ve identified walking through a stapled bag, past 2 other containers of food, and into the sealed container of Pad See Ewe at the bottom of the bag before the bug swam through the noodles and sauce, twirled around, and then died in the dish for me to find him in my mouth is VERY LOW. Please try that with anyone else. I ordered from Bodhi thai because the food looked good, not because I planned to come and leave a bad review for a planted bug. Supporting small businesses is so risky because instead of taking accountability for YOUR BUG, you opted to find a way to blame me. I hope anyone who’s contemplating eating at Bodhi thai thinks long and hard and comes prepared to inspect every noodle and grain of rice because they sure won’t. Maybe leave a note specifying No bugs please with your order to make sure they leave them out of your dish. I’ve attached more pictures of your bug and my full order below. Anyone else reading this exchange, BEWARE. You could have solved this by taking accountability for the mistake and offering an apology. Not sure how you can rectify MY situation because I will never order from here again. A bug in my mouth is traumatizing to say the least since bugs aren’t a part of my diet. Horrible food and...
Read moreI have no idea how anyone can trust the rating system The only thing worth eating was the pot stickers Chicken and noodles weren't tasty at all! The spring rolls inedible
I'm only on my phone so I can't find a way to reply to their reply
They want to know what was wrong
When the very nice lady came to the table I told her that the spring rolls were very dry and had no flavor Her recommendation next time was to try the eggrolls and did not offer to replace them
At that point I figured I was never coming to the restaurant again so I'd pay the bill leave a generous tip and leave a review for my fellow patrons
I would never go back to the restaurant the very lovely restaurant the people are very nice and I suspect that they cook for the basic American pallet and that's fine if people wanna go and give it four points stars but I hardly think it deserves that rating at all My overall food experience was one star For the service and the decor I would give it four stars
In my opinion The restaurant missed its chance because they have plenty of people giving a good reviews and I hardly think that if anybody wanted up at Rosded in Morton Grove or Opart thai or Butterfly café that they would rate this restaurant over...
